''Brisingr'' is when the DM realises that their GameBreaker abilities keep sending things OffTheRails and tries to fight back by making NPCs arbitrarily immune to them.

All the plot threads will be wrapped up for real this time in a totally epic manner. At the final battle, the Varden and the dwarves are [[HopeSpot wiped out]], leaving Murtagh to emerge as the true hero. In order to snap Eragon out of his BSOD, Saphira [[TookALevelInBadass develops a personality]]. Eragon realizes what a {{Jerkass}} he was and spends the rest of his days humbly wandering the world atoning for his sins. Alagaesia becomes a commune-based, libertarian utopia where taxes are just an old bedtime story to scare children.

This developed as a defence mechanism for hatchlings, and is why Eragon could not even bring himself to ''consider'' killing the newly-hatched Saphira. Elves and Riders inherit a slightly weaker version of this ability - this is why you CantArgueWithElves. Ironically, their mental link to a dragon also makes Riders ''more'' susceptible to this - this is why Eragon keeps going on about [[AuthorAppeal how wondrous and beautiful dragons are]], and may have contributed to his infatuation with Arya.

The Inheritance Cycle is actually a story of the events, told from the Varden's POV. It'll turn out that Galbatorix was really the good guy, and that he was the only one keeping the empire in peace. But the rebels beat him, and when they take over, people are angry with them, and rebel against them. They put out the story as propaganda. It'll also be a biting commentary of the US political system. Note the entirely secular government of the elves (the US), and the way they helped the rebels destabilize the "dictator". Note also the elves' racist POV. They represent the Republicans in the US.
* Hey, don't associate us Republicans with those racists. They're two different groups that happen to occasionally overlap, and most of us are not in any way racist. (At least where ThisTroper comes from.)
** Though you have managed to make most people who aren't American despise your political party with a passion. Especially the Europeans. Perhaps Galbatorix is a European?
