[[WMG: Pandora was seeded with life by Earth a long time ago.]]
The oncoming enviromental collapse of Earth was not unforseen and as a result one or more groups deliberately seeded potential second homes with life using FTL drives. This was done partly to create secondary homes we could evacuate to if things got too bad on earth and partly to make for easier resource extraction. The seeded worlds started with a genetic template significantly more prone to mutation then that found on Earth to allow for faster development along with certain key traits already encoded in unused segments of the DNA for whatever bacteria/plants/lichen they dropped just waiting for a mutation to activate them. Pandora beat the odds and developed sapient life ahead of schedule.

Similarly to ''Film/AlitaBattleAngel'', James Cameron will take too long and eventually lose interest, and Creator/RobertRodriguez or someone like him will take it up.

** The Mehve's been recreated here on Earth and is a perfectly workable design, no lower gravity required. As for the insects, that is explained by genetic engineering prior to the Seven Days of Fire. The Square-Cube law obviously doesn't apply to their structure, much as it doesn't with the bio-engineered God Warriors.

*The Alliance either has the information restricted so as to not cause a panic (because ALIENS!), or the RDA ships returned after the generation ships left Earth. What remained of RDA was bought up by the Blue Sun Corporation at a later date.
*Unobtanium would have been used to supercharge the terraforming tech, in an effort to re-establish the habitability of Earth.
** Tying into the "Eywa is Evil" theories, it managed to gain some knowledge of this somehow, and riled up the natives against the RDA's efforts.

[[WMG: Eywa is an EldritchAbomination that eats the Na'Vis souls after death]]
The Tree of Souls are her stomach, the smaller trees are her many mouths. When Na'Vi upload their souls into the trees after death, she does not take care of them, she simply consumed them. Think about it: If Eywa is benevolent, why doesn't she share help the Na'Vi advance as a civilisation? Instead she manipulates them into stigmatising the concept of progress. This is because they are but cattle to her, and if they developed science, they would have the tools to examine the trees and to realize that they have been tricked. Why doesn't Eywa stop the wars between the different tribes? Because she needs a steady flow of dead souls. Why is the wildlife so dangerous and why doesn't Eywa protect the Na'Vi from it? The same answer. More dead Na'Vi means more dead souls. The only reason why Eyva helped the Na'Vi against the humans is that the humans were going to destroy the tree of souls, which would kill Eywa.
