''Time and Eternity'' (alternate Japanese {{Portmantitle}}: ''Tokitowa'') is a UsefulNotes/PlayStation3 JRPG developed by Creator/{{Imageepoch}}, released in Japan by [[Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment Bandai Namco Games]] in Oct., 2012 and in the United States by [[Creator/NipponIchi NIS America]] in July 2013.

* CurbStompBattle: The right magic will make many regular battles this if the player so chooses. Getting enough time to cast, however...

** Both [=NPC=]s and monsters. One of the complaints about the game is the lack of enemy variety even though each enemy of various types will switch out their strategy to keep the player from getting too complacent.
** Toki and Towa in the field and in battles.

* SceneryPorn: Most notably the events in Chapter 4 where the sky is constantly lit up by a never-ending meteor shower.

** If Towa is active on the approach for Olden's questions, she assures Drake!Zack that "[she's] not worried" about what kind of questions would measure his worth as a husband. The correct answers to the first three questions leave her ''embarrassed to a {{Tsundere}}'s full extent'', and answering the fourth question with her ideal answer is incorrect (although the correct answer to the fifth question is [[GoldenSnitch worth 100 points on its own]]).

* DisproportionateRetribution: [[spoiler:Netherdrake puts Reijo in a position where she's forced to kill Toki simply because she [[SoreLoser beat him too many times at Old Maid]]]].

* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: [[HeroesWantRedheads Toki]] has RedEyesTakeWarning, while [[EveryoneLovesBlondes Towa]] gets SupernaturalGoldEyes.

* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: Makimona has a different job every chapter that conveniently allows her to interact with the heroes.

* DifficultySpike: Some areas will pit you against enemies that you aren't prepared for, but the biggest offender is the Chapter 3 boss, who is harder than the final boss.

* IJustWantToHaveFriends: [[spoiler:Reijo. She only wished for wealth in order to be on the same social level as Toki so they could be friends]].
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Towa skirts the line on this one as her outward mannerisms do hide the fact of [[HiddenHeartOfGold how kind she really is]].
* HelloInsertNameHere: The hero's default name is Zack, but it can be changed. Consequentially, [[HeyYou no one refers to him by name]].
* HiddenInPlainSight: Toki has never made a public appearance, so she can go anywhere in town with most people not even knowing she's the princess.

* {{Jerkass}}: Zack, if the player makes such choices. Throughout the game, he can constantly makes passes at other girls, Toki/Towa's friends included, yet [[{{Hypocrite}} gets pissed whenever Ricardo tries to hit on her]]. He's a ChivalrousPervert without the "chivalrous" part. Reijo realizes this and it's one of the reasons why she names him after various weeds. Toki also appears to be aware of it too since she will use it against him from time to time. [[spoiler:He gets better as CharacterDevelopment kicks in during the latter half of the game]].
* TheKlutz: Wedi.
* KnifeNut: Towa, especially at the start of the game, but she mellows out a bit over the course.
* LethalChef: Ricardo's cakes are so bad that they cause whoever eats them to witness a NearDeathExperience and grant them the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. Used as a PlotPoint.
** [[spoiler:Subverted twice: First when it's revealed that he initially was a great baker, but then got inspired ([[StableTimeLoop by Drake no less]]) to start using fish as ingredients and thus ruining his cakes from then on. It takes Toki/Towa's grandmother's complaint in the third chapter for him to take this seriously and go on a training trip to "pretend" learn how to make good cakes. It surprisingly worked. Second is in the ending when, after the ResetButton is pushed, he's never inspired to use bad ingredients and becomes the best baker in the kingdom]].

* LikesOlderWomen: It takes the entire game to learn who Second Grade Genius Kilka is in love with. Turns out to be [[spoiler:Makimona]].
* LimitedWardrobe: {{Lampshaded}} during a round of BossBanter. Toki has several copies of her outfit while Towa mentions she just washes it whenever she takes a bath.
* LoveAtFirstSight: As a result of the ResetButton at the end of the game, [[spoiler:the chosen heroine accepts Zack's marriage proposal immediately despite her believing they "just" met]].

* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: Towa and Zack, especially in her normal ending wherein she re-enacts the "bride carrying the groom" scene often used to visually depict the trope.

* ThenLetMeBeEvil: The Assassins Guild has no intention of attacking the royal wedding... until they are repeatedly accused of intending to attack the royal wedding. Roboboss gets fed up with it (and is given a cake by [[LethalChef Ricardo]]) and decides they'll just launch the attack anyways.

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Toki is classically feminine, whilst Towa is harder than Zack is.
* TookALevelInBadass: [[spoiler:Wedi invokes this in Chapter 3, going out of her way to make a bond with a golem to protect Toki and Zack at the wedding]].
* TrainingFromHell: Towa wouldn't have it any other way, especially since she'd rather spend her honeymoon at a cabin in snow-covered mountains because of the harsh conditions. This explains how Toki is in such great shape.
