''Tower of Babel'' is a 1986 Famicom puzzle-platforming game by [[Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment Namco]]. It later appeared in 1998 on PlayStation via [[CompilationRerelease Namco Anthology 1]], alongside a remastered "arrange" version of the game with enhanced sound and graphics. It also received a fan-made port to the Sharp X68000, which updated the graphics and sound but kept all the same levels.

The plot of the game revolves around Indy Borgnine, an adventurer/archaeologist who has made it his mission to ascend the 64-floor Tower of Babel to discover the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. His quest isn't going to be easy, though--restless spirits, dangerous bats, stone golems, among other things, will try to impede his progress. In order to clear each floor, he must wisely use peculiar L-shaped blocks which have the ability to stack up like staircases, and do so using the least number of moves, since if he runs out of energy, he cannot move any more blocks and will lose a life. Furthermore, sometimes the door to the next floor will be sealed off, and can only be opened via collecting crystal balls, which are often tucked away in hard-to-reach locations.
