** This happens other time, like with the Rinnegan. The pronunciation is "Ren-Ay-Gan", the dub pronounces it "Ren-E-Gan", like one would pronounce "Renegade" in English.

** They also pronounce "Son Goku" like "Su-hn Guh-ku". This is ''particularly'' egregious considering America and other English countries have had English dubs of DragonBall, and, well....you get the point.

* MegatonPunch: There's plenty but special mention goes to [[spoiler: Naruto giving one to Tobi.... which wound up taking an overly long set-up which a different colouring scream that [[PureAwesomeness bled awesome]], shattering the man's mask...'' and cracking the ground until it split''. * {{Irony}}: Remember the sidequest where Naruto has to decide whether he likes girls like Hinata or girls like Ino and Sakura and it's hinted that both are trying to get an "advantage" over Hinata? Later on, Temari and Kurotsuchi, brash girls themselves whose attitude got fame beyond their countries' border, go for Hinata for advice to be more ladylike in another sidequest.

* LethalJokeCharacter: Given that the game has a heavy emphasis on balance, even characters who don't fight (Kirin) or hardly ever win fights ([=TenTen=]) are formidable fighters once you know how to use them. Kirin may be the closest in spirit to this trope, though, as all her speical moves are rather silly compared to others leading too...
** LethalJokeItem: Kirin's perfume spray is definitely this. First of all, it's perfume being used in the middle of battle. Second of all, it does negligible damage. Despite that, it's a good item because not only does it stop charckra rushes, but each hit gives a random effect (Attack down, Defense down, poison). Also, any skilled player hit by it will immediately substitute out of it, which uses a substitution up quite possibly before the close range battle had even begun.

** Averted in regards to the resurrected Kage and any other minor character that appeared during the war in the manga. Despite fighting being able to fight the resurrected Kage to begin with in game.

* {{Nerf}}: Awakenings received their own form of this, as they no longer prevent Ultimate Jutsu and grab attacks from making contact. Better yet, Ultimate Jutsu now cancels the opponent's Awakening. Makes sense, in case one uses it against someone like B.

* PressXToNotDie: This feature has returned from Storm 3 (it was missing in Generations), and it keeps you geared for more.

* SlapOnTheWristNuke: The vast majority of the Ultimate Ninjutsu are this either {{Downplayed}} or PlayedStraight. Most would realistically either shred or disintegrate the target's body with one hit. The biggest would also take the battlefield with them. None can kill in any less than 3 hits.
* SNKBoss: Sage Kabuto. Does a crapload of damage, a lot of over priority moves, a shitload of HP, some moves are very hard to dodge.

* TalkingToHimself: To the point where it's entirely possible to have an entire team where all the members are voiced by the same person[[note]]Such as Team VicMignogna (Nagato, Obito and Cee) or Team SteveBlum (Any combination of Oohnoki, Orochimaru, Zabuza and Ao)[[/note]].

* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: Using the Tailed Beast Bomb ultimate often feels like this. The attack is powerful enough to desimate an island, and you go and use it to knock out PTS Sakura.

* VillainBall: Tobi seems to have swallowed it sometime during the last battle. Outright saying that even [[spoiler: Kurama]] should have trouble fighting all the biju, you'd expect him to make you fight them all at once. Instead, they come at you one at a time. Though honestly, this makes it less frustrating.

** Pretty much the Raikake's entire fighting style, just like in the [[NarutoShippudenUltimateNinjaStormGenerations previous game.]]

* YouShouldntKnowThisAlready: Despite Instant-Awakenings being a new feature of this game, the story mode won't let you use it until Naruto [[spoiler: masters the Nine Tails' Chakra.]] Nevermind the fact you play as several ''other'' characters before then who should ''definately'' know how to control their powers...

* OhCrap: The Tsuchikage, Naruto, and presumably the unnamed ninja in the area all had this when [[spoilers: the real Madara]] drops a freaking ''meteor'' on them.

* BackFromTheDead: Kabuto's Edo Tensei brought back a large number of previously killed off characters. Though you don't actually have to wait until you unlock their Reanimated forms to use them: their ''living'' skins are unlocked by default. Heck, even quite a few dead characters who ''aren't'' revived, like Pain[[spoiler:'s Yahiko body]], are still playable to maintain a complete roster.

* BookEnds: Throughout the Prolouge a female narrator, [[spoiler: Kushina]], talks about how it is Minato's story, however during the ending she repeats these line, except this time [[spoiler: she is referring to her son, Naruto]].

* BossBanter: Storyline battles, even non-boss ones. will have combantants talking to eachother during battle. The lines change to reflect how the fight is going too, and even Assist characters get a few if used.

** Which kind of sucks since Hinata, Kiba, and Shino were part of the Second Division's battle which was ''completely glossed over''. You don't even get a CHANCE to fight on that battlefield. Probably because there were no Edo Tensei on it, just White Zetsu.

** Second, if you are a Neon Alley subscriber, you get Samurai Naruto, Kimono Sasuke, School Uniform Sakura, Swimsuit Tsubade, and ANBU Itachi.

* DualBoss: Kinkaku and Ginkaku. The Swordsmen of the Mist are optionally ''[[UpToEleven Sextuple Boss]]'' (you can also choose to split them up and fight them as a SequentialBoss, but that gets you less points)
* EvilOverlooker: The Western boxart features ''three'', with Tobi, Sasuke, and Kabuto''s heads watching Naruto from behind.
