Diversity is a series of three increasingly complex multi-genre "Complete the Monument" maps in which players must complete ten mini-maps in order to obtain colored wool blocks. Originally a solo project by qmagnet, the second and third installments were created by build teams.

Each map contains ten mini-maps, called branches, each of a different genre and color:

* Adventure Branch (Orange)
* Arena Branch (Yellow)
* Trivia Branch (Lime)
* Parkour Branch (Pink)
* Escape Branch (Cyan)
* Labyrinthian Branch/Elytra BranchReplacing Labyrinthian in Diversity 3 (Purple)
* Dropper Branch (Blue)
* Survival Branch (Brown)
* Puzzle Branch (Red)
* Boss Battle Branch (Black)

!!Tropes shared between maps include:
* BarelyMissedCushion: Happens to the player in Diversity 2 and 3's Dropper BranchesDiversity's Dropper Branch had the entire bottom of the drop be safe landing space in the form of SoftWater. 2 and 3's Droppers had significantly smaller targets. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...
* BrickJoke: Diversity 2's Boss Battle Branch ends with the revelation that the giant wither is controlled by the Fowl Overlord, a chicken that the player must kill before getting the black wool. In Diversity 3, the evil stone ends up to be piloted by another chicken, although this one can be spared rather than killed. And then in the finale sequence, the Boss Battle sequence features a giant chicken piloted by Stone Jr.
* CobwebJungle:
** Diversity 2's Trivia Branch uses one in tandem with a soul sand floor to create the a very, very slow punishment.
** In Diversity 3, the Survival Branch's mesa island has one in its mineshaft.
* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: All the Trivia Branches feature them for choosing an incorrect answer. While in Diversity there was a small set of punishments for all the wrong answers, Diversitys 2 and 3 have unique punishments for every individual wrong answer, usually tuned to demonstrate how the answer was wrong or simply give the player an arduous task related to the wrong answer. Many players deliberately choose as many wrong answers as possible so as to see the different punishments.
* DeathCourse:
** Diversity's Escape Branch is a nonlinear version, with the player freely roaming throughout the complex in search of a way to leave while hidden traps abound. Due to most of the rooms' being identical (or nearly so), it's easy for players to fall for the same trap several times.
** Diversity 2's Escape Branch, being set inside an ancient pyramid, is this from beginning to end.
** Diversity 3's Escape Branch has a gauntlet section that is virtually impossible to complete without dying, featuring waves of falling blocks, magic Evoker jaws, endless barrages of arrows and anvils, and a room that rapidly fills with lava.
* DungeonBypass: Diversity and Diversity 2 feature Bonus rooms that allow players to bypass one branch at no cost, unless you count 2's Bonus room creating a pedestal to commemorate your failure to complete a branch.
** Diversity's Puzzle Branch has a secret method to bypass the slider puzzle at the end.
* DungeonCrawling: Diversity and Diversity 2's Survival Branches feature sprawling underground locations that are filled with danger and valuables, with Diversity having a naturally generated mineshaft (which Qmagnet didn't even know was there until hearing about it from happy players) and Diversity 2 having a large facility-like structure.
* EducationThroughPyrotechnics: All three Trivia Branches incorporate fire and explosions in some of their punishments.
* EndOfEpisodeSilliness:
** In Diversity 2:
*** Adventure Branch: Professor Orange realizes in the middle of transporting the player to the original dimension that the tower they're standing on doesn't exist there.
*** Boss Battle Branch: The giant wither turns out to be an automaton controlled by the Fowl Overlord.
** In Diversity 3:
*** Trivia Branch: Qmagnet awards the player the lime wool while curtly telling them that they just barely passed the challege. (He does this regardless of the player's actual score)
*** Parkour Branch: Adam and Adrian can't decide which of them should be the one to award the pink wool, and end up in a shouting match paired with throwing the wool at each other. It's still going on when Noodlor intervenes to help the player catch the wool.
*** Escape Branch: Iron Miley Cyrus comes in like a wrecking ball (complete with music), slamming CFG out of the tower and allowing the player to obtain the cyan wool.
*** Elytra Branch: The player arrives at [=RenderXR=]'s End Ship and walks in on him using the facilities. He unceremoniously hands them the purple wool due to the situation's awkwardness.
*** Dropper Branch: Qmagnet jovially tells the player to come up to his perch to collect the blue wool, only to realize after Beat several seconds that they don't actually have a way to do that.
*** Survival Branch: After the player brings qmagnet his friend's messages, he forgets his promise to reward them with the brown will until he notices they're not leaving.
*** Puzzle Branch: The player enters qmagnet's room where they are upside down and walking on the ceiling. He gives them the red wool despite his confusion.
*** Boss Battle Branch: Stone is revealed to be controlled by an anthropomorphic chicken and Giant Steve is an automaton controlled by Jigarbov and Feylina, who reveal the entire battle was based on a bet between them on what the player would do.
* EndingByAscending:
** Inverted in Diversity 1, the finale sequence ends with the player dropping into the void.
** Upon completing Diversity 2's monument, the player climbs a ladder up to the top of the building.
** Completing Diversity 3's monument activates a beacon which carries the player up into the sky.
* FetchQuest: The monument is completed by entering various maps to complete challenges and acquire wool blocks.
* ForcedPrizeFight: The Arena Branches.
* GladiatorGames: 2 and 3's Arena Branches.
* LeParkour: The Parkour Branches, of course, which get progressively more awesome with each installment.
* ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption: In the Arena and Boss Battle Branches. Averted at the end of Diversity 3's Boss Battle Branch, where the player can choose to spare the chicken.

!!Tropes in Diversity include:
* AfterActionPatchUp: The Arena Branch includes small rooms after each arena for players to heal themselves and acquire new/better gear.
* GreatEscape: The player does one in the Adventure Branch's King path.
* ObstacleExposition: "Good" King Steve warns the player of the obstacles between them and the "Evil" Zombie Lord's fortress.
* SecretUndergroundPassage: The Adventure Branch has one, built by the zombies to reach the chamber holding the Holy Wool of Orangeosity.
* StormingTheCastle: This seems to be your goal in the Adventure Branch, but all is not as it seems...
* TakeItToTheBridge: The entrance to the zombies' SecretUndergroundPassage is hidden beneath the Rickety Bridge of Terror.
* ThisWayToCertainDeath: The bottom of the Lake of Drowned Sorrows and the trench under the Rickety Bridge of Terror are littered with skulls. When you consider the physical capabilities of this world's denizens, it's not hard to figure out why.

!!Tropes in Diversity 2 include:
* AstralFinale: The finale takes place in the End.
* ClimbingClimax: The second half of the Adventure branch require the players to meet Professor Orange at the top of the fifth tower, the highest point of the Fear Dimension mansion.
* DurableDeathtrap: The Escape Branch is in an Ancient Pyramid, complete with perfectly functional traps.
* TheHeroDies: The player falls to their death at the end of the Adventure Branch due to Professor Orange's miscalculation.

!!Tropes in Diversity 3 include:
* AliensStealCattle: The space-themed Elytra course features a flying saucer with a cow in its tractor beam. Killing the cow unlocks a secret advancemment.
* AllJustADream:
** The ending of the Adventure branch reveals that the whole thing was a simulation designed to see whether the player would choose saving lives or escaping with the wool.
** At the end of the finale, the player wakes up in the campsite from the beginning of the map, now accompanied by the map's build team, who briefly wonder what kind of dream you were having before sending you to meet qmagnet at the van.
* AndAllIGotWasThisLousyTShirt: Completing the Arena section of the finale sequence unlocks a "Lame Yellow Shirt" with this tag.
* BarrierBustingBlow:
** One of the punishments in the Trivia Branch has THE HULK burst through a door and the surrounding wall to smash the player.
** The end of the Escape Branch sees Iron Miley Cyrus come in like a wrecking ball (complete with music), slamming CFG out of the tower and allowing the player to obtain the cyan wool.
* BigDamnHeroes: Iron Miley Cyrus.

* OmegaEnding: Due to each branch having it's own ending, the finale sequence can be seen as this.

* SelfParody: The Easiest Adventure Map TM is not easy at all. The first book inside the map also refers to itself.
* FinalBoss:
* MacGuffin: Milk. Clearly an excuse plot.
* FridgeBrilliance: Why did the witch steal your milk of all things? Because in Minecraft, it can be used to remove their harmful potion effects.
* MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext: A witch stole the milk in your fridge and you have to pass her weird Minecraft challenges to get it back.
* MindScrew: The entire adventure map depends mainly on this trope, mostly due to OminousVisualGlitch.

* NightmareRetardant: Some parts of the map try to be frightening, but pull it off very poorly, such as the Pumkin man.
* NothingIsScarier: The map starts off as very lighthearted, with the clumsy Witch guiding you throughout the way. [[spoiler:However, the real ending causes you to glitch out the whole system, causing everything to change. The witch falls into the void, and you're stuck in large rooms of corrupted data which you're just running across. No dialogue, nothing happens. * PokeThePoodle: The witch starts off by stealing your milk. Lampshaded by the download page that purposefully exaggerates that the witch has stolen something important from you.
* HarmlessVillain: The witch. Even in the boss fight, she .
* CasualDangerDialog: The witch switches between being a LargeHam to being extremely awkward often, most notably in the introduction sequence. The player also responds in a similiar awkward manner, speaking in lowercase and showing complete disinterest in the whole plot.
* FinallyFoundTheBody: Since this map follows the events of .
* ExpositoryGameplayLimitation: Extremely lampshaded in the intro, where the player can only walk on the light tiles towards the literal cutscene trigger. The witch teleports in front of you, just out of reach, just for the sake of exposition.
* Backtracking: Played straight while escaping the . You see familiar areas such as the bedroom and the first and third chamber.
* InsurmountableWaistHeightFence: Hilariously played with in the level design of the escape sequence. You pass by a fence that you can not climb and spend five minutes parkouring and perfecting slime block jumps… only to find out that you've come full circle to where you've started, except now you're on the same fence, but now you're able to progress right next to where you began.
* InvisibleWall: Played straight and made fun of.

to:

Now has a sequel, The Dropper 2: Newton vs. Darwin.

!!The Dropper contains examples of:
* BonusDungeon: Collecting all of the Diamonds in the second game opens up two of them.
* GimmickLevel: In The Dropper 2, DNA gives you RegeneratingHealth and Feather Falling boots to do many long falls.
* GuideDangIt: Finding some of the secret chests can be very tricky, especially the one in level 2 of The Dropper
2.
* IncredibleShrinkingMan: Level 14 of The Dropper 2 ("Minecraft is huge") imposes this on the player, making them navigate a traditional Minecraft world while shrunk to 1/16th their normal size. The actual "dropper" part comes at the end, where a fall of only a few blocks for the full-sized player becomes deadly.
* LevelInReverse: Some of the levels have a button on black wool that gives you Jump Boost for a few seconds. Instead of going down the level, you then need to go up it to find the Diamond.
* MooksButNoBosses: Mooks themselves are rare, only showing up in a few levels, but there are no bosses.
* NoPlotNoProblem: Neither of the maps have a plot.
* NotTheFallThatKillsYou: The primary source of the map's difficulty.
* ShoutOut: Several of the maps are references to other works. To name only a few, The Dropper 2 has maps based on Film/TheMatrix, Literature/TheLordOfTheRings, and even Windows.
* TrialAndErrorGameplay: In the original map, level 7 (Some holes are safe) is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin; falling into some holes will kill you, and falling into other holes won't. There's no way to know which ones are safe the first time.

Tagonist]], officer of an agency called [=GR7=] who has been tasked with capturing Dr. Earl S. Testudine, a renegade scientist-turned-terrorist from a mining company. Stunning landscapes, creative and detailed environments, an a brilliant sci-fi texture pack, and the shear sheer effort put into it have caused some to call it the best custom map ever.

And then in the second map, he's officially named Porkins.Porkins (this name was presumably selected because in their playthrough of the map, Creator/LewisBrindley and Creator/Simon Lane from the LetsPlay/Yogscast chose to rename the pig that name using a Name Tag.

* InsurmountableWaistHeightFence: Hillariously played with in the level design of the escape sequence. You pass by a fence that you can not climb and spend five minutes parkouring and perfecting slime block jumps...only to find out you've come full circle to where you've started, except now you're ON the same fence but now you're able to progress right next to where you began.

* Railroading: Played with. The Witch obviously railroads you to pass each trial, to the point where you can just move forwards to win the map without any effort. It is also played straight in that there are only two paths - Pass each test or fail each test, with the two endings.
* ContinuityNod: The real ending takes place right after the events of and shows the spoiler:extent of destruction. Some lava pits are dried up, and the dead body of Ashton Mault can be found. It also shows that SADoS was in fact covering up the dead body of Ashton Mault, which explains why it is covered up in the first map (which happens much much later.)
* BrickJoke: One of the rooms in the glitchy escape is a copy of the ten-lever-code room, but instead every wall of the room is covered in levers, even the floor and cieling.

* BoxandStickTrap: The witch resorts to this in the boss fight, with signs next to the pressure plates saying "STEP ON THE WOOD". (Normally there is only "SHOOT" on these signs.)

* Even Evil Has Standards: If you pass at least one of the trials and then refuse to kill the witch, the witch will remove the TNT and congratulate you for passing the other tests, giving you your milk back and even offering a ride home.

* Foreshadowing: From the start of the map there are some hints that the map takes places in Atilliary Facilities. First, the wardrobe contains the same syntax as the many test chambers in Atilliary Facilities, and identical to the Virtual Reality rooms of the prequel. There is also a split-second scene in front of the house that shows that the house is labled with "AF". In the real route there is the appearances of the Virtual Reality machine itself appearing twice without being explained. In the glitch escape sequence, you pass through the same virtual reality hallways from the prequel (albeit corrupted).
