* LighterAndSofter: One of [[ZigZaggingTrope Zigzagged]]. This is a continuity where God is ''not'' an ego-tripping megalomaniac and generally has humanity's best interest at heart, the few games cosmos is not doomed to endless war, and the Ordeal is intended to be a fair test of humanity's character. But it turns out that [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters most humans are not worthy of handling the power of demons]], and unless you can offer a better option, the Ordeal is a miserable failure. In the end, though, you ''can'' succeed in the series where [[spoiler:God is actually put in a somewhat positive light for a change]], though this is ZigZagged in [[UpdatedRerelease Overclocked]].ordeal and even make the world ''better'' using your power.
