* [[HeroAntagonist Dib]] from ''WesternAnimation/InvaderZim'' got this so much someone on Website/DeviantArt responded by making a club dedicated to making him the seme, with a corresponding club for the more traditional Zim-seme.

** Speaking of Cody, he's an odd case. In male/male fanfics, he's usually shoehorned into the uke role because he's a TinySchoolboy, and is given a "small" personality (i.e. shy and insecure) to match his size. Canonically, though, Cody [[ExtravertedNerd possesses an incredible amount of self-confidence]] and [[CasanovaWannabe thinks he's way cooler and more attractive than he actually is]]; thus, said depictions of Cody can feel out-of-character. By contrast, male/female fanfics involving Cody will often go in the opposite direction, making Cody into moreso what he thinks he is rather than what he actually is.

* The title character of ''WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}}'' gets a lot of this. Any fanart featuring him and arch-nemesis Kevin 11 will recieve a "Ben looks so seme!" comment. To say nothing of the countless Fanfics where he gets pregnant, although to be fair he actually has gotten pregnant in canon.

* Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver) from ''WesternAnimation/XMenEvolution''. True, he is a lot more feminine, and also fits the stereotype of the traditional uke more than his usual slash partner Lance (Avalanche). But that doesn't mean he needs to turn into a weepy teenage girl in so many Lance and Pietro fanfics.

* Robin from ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice'' will fall victim of this whenever paired with Superboy. While in canon he can be quite calculating.

%%* Happens frequently to [[TheStarscream Starscream]], of all 'bots, in ''{{Transformers}}'' fic. A natural consequence of being frequently shipped with [[BigBad Megatron]]...

* Robin from ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'' often gets this when paired with Slade. Canonically, he's a serious, if somewhat HotBlooded, and capable leader. In SlashFic, he's often written as naive and submissive.

* Callum from ''WesternAnimation/TheDragonPrince'' is a frequent victim of this in fics that pair him with Rayla. A particularly egregious example since the focal point of Callum's ''entire character arc'' is him becoming more confident and realizing he has far more potential and strength than he initially thought. Many fics stall or even reverse Callum's character development, reducing him to an emotional puddle and a weak pushover who never grows past his insecurities, and who needs [[ActionGirlfriend Rayla]] to protect him and handle everything for him. This has continued despite the fact that canon has long since moved in a different direction, where Callum has consistently become stronger and more capable over time.
** Going in the opposite direction, some others make Rayla the distressed damsel who sits around and worries while Callum gets to do all the cool stuff. Are some people [[UnequalPairing allergic to equal pairings]] and {{Battle Couple}}s or is this just {{Sturgeons Law}}?

** Cartman/Kyle shippers, however, seem to be subverting this by keeping the two enemies on a balanced playing field (most of the time, anyway) even with Cartman almost always topping. Which is ironic, given how unhealthy the pairing would likely be in real life because of tropes such as InterplayOfSexAndViolence, SlapSlapKiss, StalkerWithACrush, MindGameShip, BastardBoyfriend, TheMasochismTango, and BelligerentSexualTension.

** Butters is as such because of his [[TheDitz ditziness]] and purity, but can quite easily be made into a weak little girl or an adorable yet clueless uke. He is usually derailed into being extremely CampGay when he is paired with [[BastardBoyfriend Kenny the pervert or Cartman the sadist]].

** Cartman/Kyle shippers, however, seems to be subverting this by keeping the two enemies on a balanced playing field (most of the time, anyway) even with Cartman almost always topping, which is ironic, given [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence how]] [[SlapSlapKiss unhealthy]] [[StalkerWithACrush the pairing]] [[MindGameShip would likely be]] [[BastardBoyfriend in]] [[TheMasochismTango real]] [[BelligerentSexualTension life]].
