Unfortunately, the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic forced Bandai Namco's hand to forbide Terada to work on such massive task, telling him to focus on ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDD'' and ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30'' instead for the time being.

** By WordOfGod, [[Characters/MasouKishin Sakito Asagi]] is from the island of Hokkaido and goes to the same school as Touya and the [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsGC Akatsuki twins]], even being one of their friends. This indicates Sakito was supposed to appear in ''The Moon Dwellers'', but the developers decided not to include him, possibly {{Foreshadowing}} his integration in future installments.

Instead, Steinbeck is briefly mentioned in ''Original Generation Gaiden'' before appearing fully for the ''Second Original Generation''.

** In the same episode, the SuperRobot ''Gravilion'' used by [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Archibald Grims]] is a case of WhatCouldHaveBeen: the animated staff states the Gravilion was originally going to be in the first game as an enemy unit for the Divine Crusaders, but this was dropped during development. Eventually, they decided to bring it into ''The Inspectors'' to showcase the Neo Divine Crusaders having access to exotic, {{Super Robot}}s other than the Valsion Custom in ''Divine Wars''.
