* FandomNod: Thanks to AscendedFanboy Amit Bhaumik being on the writing staff that year, he inserted a few references to other fans. For starters, Cranston Plaza was initially supposed to be Herndon Plaza (a reference to Jesse Herndon, alias {{SirStack}}), but [[http://powermorphiconforums.com/index.php?topic=10.0 it couldn't clear legal]]. But there was a "Herndon Labratories" in "The Master's Last Stand", so his name made it in anyway. Another nod was "Reinforcements from the Future" naming the Time Force prison the "Funaro Maximum Security Prison", after another fan, Chris Funaro. And the Mut-Orgs all had backwards dialog that identified them by different names, all of which were modified names of other ''PR'' fans.

*** Rocky (the second Red Ranger in ''Mighty Morphin'') was originally scripted to appear in the episode. Unfortunately, Steve Cardenas was in the middle of moving and changing addresses after the producers first contacted him and he forgot to tell them. They couldn't recontact him so they had to do the episode without him.

* HeyItsThatVoice: [[Anime/DigimonAdventure Gennai and Zudomon]] lend their voice to two of the [[MonsterOfTheWeek monsters of the week]]. Zen-Aku is voiced by two different people during different parts of the season: first [[VideoGame/GhostsNGoblins Ar]][[VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 thur]], then [[VideoGame/DigimonAdventure WarGreymon]].
** Also, some of the generals in "Forever Red" were voiced by previous Rangers, with [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Zack]] as Gerrok, [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers K]][[Series/PowerRangersZeo a]][[Series/PowerRangersTurbo t]] as Tezzla and [[Series/PowerRangersLostGalaxy Kai]] as [[NamesTheSame Venjix]].

* TheArtifact: The finale "The end of Power Rangers" seems like an odd title to name a season that had 12 seasons and counting following it, but this was originally going to be the final season of Power Rangers before Disney was convinced to move production to New Zealand to save cost.

** Rumours suggest that had the transition to Disney not been made and Cole's parents needed to not be dead, it would have been revealed that Jindrax and Toxica were Cole's parents transformed into Orgs.

* ChannelHop: How the producers got away with a lot of the season's FamilyUnfriendlyViolence. They told the first network ({{Fox}}) that Cole's parents would've later turned out to be alive. They then "neglected" to tell the second network (Disney) that the death had ever happened, so they didn't have to keep the promise, and they stayed dead.

** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQvGoGxCKq8 teaser]] for this season shown after "[[Series/PowerRangersTimeForce The End of Time, Pt. 3]]" showcased an opening theme completely different from the final, presumably not used due to rights issues from the ''Power Rangers'' franchise's sale to Disney.

** In addition to Cole's parents being brought back to life, another idea was that the attack by Master Org that "killed" them actually brainwashed them into become Jindrax and Toxica.
** According to the Ranger Wiki, Kendall was going to become a ranger at some point. It's unknown if she was going to be an American exclusive ranger, or a replacement ranger though.

* TheOtherDarrin: Zen-Aku was voiced by Dan Woren before being replaced with Lex Lang.

* PropRecycling: Most of the Machine Empire stuff in "Forever Red" was taken from ''{{Beetleborgs}}''.
