* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Early drafts of the ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy'' movie had the Richard Rider version of Nova as a main character. Director James Gunn cut Rider from the script because he dislikes the character and because his role seemed too similar to Star-Lord's.

* NamesTheSame: There was a prominent female Galactus Herald named Nova, who was used extensively in ''Silver Surfer''. They aren't related in any way (which is rather amusing considering several of Galactus' other heralds were former Nova Corps members), however the Nova font was still used in many of her appearances. This actually led to Richard being redubbed "Kid Nova" when he first joined the New Warriors.
