Mythology Gag: Nova Volume 7: Issue 7 features Richard pulling his Cancerverse infection out of his own mouth in the same manner that he ripped Annihilus inside out in the climax of Annihilation.
What Could Have Been: Early drafts of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) had the Richard Rider version of Nova as a main character. Director James Gunn cut Rider from the script because he dislikes the character and because his role seemed too similar to Star-Lord's.
According to Jeph Loeb's reasons behind his creation, Sam Alexander was created since he was a fan of Richard Rider and believed that bringing him back would dishonor his Heroic Sacrifice in The Thanos Imperative.
After Richard lost his Nova powers in the 80's, Rob Liefeld planned to bring him back as a new hero called Torpedo in his proposed Young Avengers series.
Directed by Cast Member: "The Fabric of the Cosmos" was hosted by Professor Brian Greene of Columbia University, who also wrote the book the miniseries was based on and had an executive editor credit.
