* FollowTheLeader: ''L-Gaim'' was produced as part of the post ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'' RealRobot boom. It also takes a lot of cues from ''Franchise/StarWars'', specifically the kooky pulp adventure setting and having an emperor as the BigBad. * [[TalkingToHimself Talking to Herself]]: Both of Creator/MariaKawamura's characters (Lilith and Leccee) have this in episode 18.
