** There were [[http://www.bzcomplex.com/gallery/index.php?cat=8 preliminary plans]] for an expansion pack which would have expanded the NSDF and CCA armies, adding in alternate artillery, flying units, and drone deployers.
** The game was originally envisoned as [[https://battlezone.fandom.com/wiki/Lost_Brigade "Lost Brigade"]], and set during [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/WorldWarII World War II]], with the NSDF facing off against a similarly equipped [[StupidJetpackHitler Nazi space force.]] A few designs for German units survived and were used in promotional materials for the sequel, where a RetCon was seemingly performed to suggest that the US and Soviets obtained the Bio Metal necessary to begin their war from a failed spaceborne invasion by the Mund Korps in 1947. This is not mentioned in ether game proper, however.

Not canon.

* PropRecycling: The second mission of ''Forgotten Enemies'' has you scanning power sources but they're just resized versions of the volcano factory found on Mars from the first game. FridgeBrilliance comes into play as the Hadeans might might have recycled the Olympian building design as a power plant rather than a bio-metal factory.

* AcclaimedFlop: Despite glowing reviews, the game did not sell well. Part of the reason is probably the then-novel mixture of genres, which led to people not quite knowing what to make of the game.

* HistoricalInJoke: The famous photo of Neil Armstrong on the moon was taken by General Collins, commander of the NSDF moon base located scant meters from Neil's landing site. NSA thought it was a major mistake to release the picture.
