While the true reason as to why this idea was scrapped is unknown, it was probably due to not wanting to be accused of copying ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom''.

Other ideas involved a possibly DarkerAndEdgier approach with the finale of the second season, involving [[KilledOffForReal Sun Park being thrown into a volcano]], and also revealing that Jake's Grandma was Chang, both ideas were discarded for being "Too [[Creator/ToonDisney Jetix]]". Rose was also supposed to stay in New York, but Disney said it was "too confusing" and [[PutOnABus sent her to Hong Kong]]. A ''lot'' of these ideas would probably have helped the show in the long run.
