* ''Series/{{Columbo}}'''s famous AndAnotherThing mannerism was a sort of ThrowItIn. While writing the play ''Prescription: Murder'', which introduced the character, writers Creator/LevinsonAndLink had just written Columbo's exit from a scene when they realized they had forgotten to include an important plot point. * The origin of ''Series/{{Columbo}}'''s famous AndAnotherThing mannerism was a sort is apocryphal, but most versions of ThrowItIn.the story go something like this. While writing the play ''Prescription: Murder'', which introduced the character, writers Creator/LevinsonAndLink had just written Columbo's exit from a scene when they realized they had forgotten to include an important plot point. Rather than retyping the whole scene, they simply had Columbo come back in and ask "one more thing". Another version says that Creator/PeterFalk forgot his line and, rather than redo the whole scene, saved the take by coming back in with "one more thing". Either way, it became a signature part of the character's idiosyncratic nature.
