* Manga/Classi9 is set in an all boys school and the main character, Ren, is the only girl to appear more than twice in the manga, save for the regular fangirls. It gets worse, because Ren has to crossdress to keep studying in Melite, so as far as the rest of the school is concerned the manga enters the ChromosomeCasting territory.

* The director of Manga/MaiHiME claimed in an interview that he deliberately wanted to invert this trope. Indeed, the important male cast is considerably smaller than that of the female cast. But considering that this a MagicalGirl team show, the effort's kinda misapplied.

* Being based on an OtomeGame, the anime and manga adaptations of La Corda d'Oro do this, especially in the second anime run, Blue Sky, where Kanade is the only female of importance out of twelve other guys, is the only female in her performing group, and is one of only five named female characters across the entire Blue Sky anime (but is still the only one with more than just a few minutes of screen time). Kaho from the first series is less this, but she's still the only female featured in the opening (unless you count the group shot at the end, where Amou and Fuyuumi are included) and the only truly important female character.
