** Her death in the B scenario is arguably ''worse.'' Ada resigns herself to her doom, she and Leon partake in a LastKiss, and slumps lifeless in Leon's embrace, as shown in this page's image. Leon says [[LittleNo "Ada...no...."]], starts ''trembling with grief'', and [[SkywardScream screams]] [[SayMyName "ADAAAAAA!!!"]]

* Sherry meeting her almost dead mother in Claire B.
** Sherry's life before, during and after the game. Her parents do love her, but they spent most of their time engaging in horrific biological experiments so they didn't have much time for their only daughter. In arguably the cannonical version, she gets "impregnated" by her mutated father and never even gets to say goodbye to her mother. THEN, she gets to spend the next 12+ years of her live in government captivity as a test subject, with only occasional visits from Claire to make her feel better.

* Sherry meeting her almost dead mother in Claire B.
B: she's spent the entire game looking desperately for her parents, hoping they've made it through the apocalypse alright... and, when she finds her mom, she's dying from a bleeding head wound and all she has time to do is to apologize to Sherry for being such a bad mom before dying in her daughter's arms. And all the while, the game is playing one of the saddest pieces of music [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AQICKJNOiw]] in the entire ''series''.

* Elliot's death in the original was a [[IncrediblyLamePun rapid fire]] tragedy that was both stupidity-induced and unpredictable for the sake of extra drama. In the remake, however, Leon personally tries to save him from a horde of zombies - [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe and only pulls him out from the torso above]] as the zombies and security door tear the rest off. Not only do we see the life fade from Elliot then and there, Leon does ''not'' handle this well and is likely only a step away from a HeroicBSOD before zombies slamming on the door force him back to his senses.

* When you come across Leon's desk you see that the RPD officers planned a surprise welcoming party and a little mini-game in order to break the ice, they leave a note for Leon in part welcoming him and telling him to learn his fellow officer's name as the clue to solve the game. Reading the note now it's covered in blood and there's an added message saying that they are glad that Leon isn't here to suffer in the carnage.

* The fact that the entire Police Station had prepared a welcoming party for Leon, a new guy that probably none of them had ever met. You can tell that (demented Chief Irons notwithstanding) this cozy small town police station would have been an awesome place to work at just because of the camaraderie. Then of course, the T-Virus happens, and you spend the rest of the game eliminating the walking, cannibalistic carcasses of the very people who were dying to welcome you into the force.

* Sherry meeting her almost dead mother in Claire B.
* Sherry Birkin. She's left alone, for the most part. Her parents barely spend time with her due to their jobs as Umbrella scientists. She gets a call from her mother, telling her to go to the police station. She goes there, only there's zombies everywhere. She's also being chased by her [[WasOnceAMan G-virus mutated father]], who [[FaceFullOfAlienWingWong wants to]] [[{{Squick}} impregnate her with an embryo]]. She gets infected, later gets cured, only to get stuck in the custody of the U.S. government. Although WordOfGod says that Sherry is in the custody of the US government, {{fanon}} disagrees, saying that she was adopted by Wesker. In short, ''nobody knows what happened to her.''
** Now Wesker [[spoiler: is dead. Quite dead.]] This troper vaguely remembers seeing (very) early screenshots of ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil5'' where Chris found a mysterious girl in suspended animation. Obviously, this did not make it into the final game, and the girl in the pod [[spoiler:turned out to be Jill Valentine]], but Sherry will not be happy that the man who promised to not forget/abandon her not only went back on his word, but ([[{{Fanon}} possibly]]) killed her adoptive father. Angst + {{psychic powers}} = very bad for Chris.
*** First off, Leon was the one who dealt with her, Chris never encountered her once. Second, no psychic powers. Third, Wesker's Report said that Wesker had her. No idea when they'll deal with that plot point again.
*** Wesker's Report, or at least that part of it, seems to have been {{Retcon}}ned out of existence. ''Darkside Chronicles'' makes it explicitly clear that Sherry and Leon were captured by the US government after [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil2 the destruction of Raccoon City]] and the government is basically holding Sherry hostage to keep Leon working for them.
*** Rest assured. Sherry Birkin has TakenALevelInBadass and is now a government agent.
*** [[spoiler: Who's adopted father turns out to be behind the assassination of the President of the United States and the deaths of several thousand people. Her G-Virus infection has also more or less made her {{Transhuman}}]]. For ''God's sake'' Capcom! [[IronWoobie Give the girl a break!]]

** See also {{Narm}} due to cheesy voice acting.
** In fairness, [[NarmCharm most RE fans have a high tolerance for this]]. Of course, the ''novelization'' of that scene hits a lot harder, mostly because we as readers have gotten to hear a lot of Ada's thoughts over the course of the story, and have consequently grown more attached to her as a character.
