* Through out his arc Zen Aku has been having flashbacks to when the Warriors of Animaria sealed him, all we see are him getting struck on all sides by their Crystal Sabres easy to see why he thinks a great injustice was done to him. When we see the full scene [[spoiler: we see Merrick in the form of Zen Aku beginning to loose control to the Wolf Mask and begging his comrades to destroy him before he destroys them, but the warriors refuse to fight their friend. Then Merrick is gone and the wolf org attacks the warriors leading to them reluctantly sealing him.]]

* The ending has the rangers saying goodbye to Princess Shayla as she takes their morphers, their jackets and the Wild Zords onto the Animarium nad and leave for the sky again. It is even worse for Merrick who basically begged to Shayla to let him come with her as it is hinted that there is something more between them then just protector and protected but Shayla had to sadly tell him that he can't come with her.

** In one episode Zen Aku encounters a wolf dog pup that Merrick met who is quite at ease being round him, even tending to it after it gets hurt during a battle which he ran away from because of this. However he realizes as long as it's around him it's in danger so he later scares it off but he clearly doesn't like it
