It's revealed that Afton's daughter was recently killed by Baby, the same animatronic who he designed specially for her.]]

*** This becomes worse at the beginning of Night 4 [[spoiler: where you hear the little girl say ''"Daddy isn't watching."'', which means [[AdultFear she secretly snuck away to play with Baby while]] ''[[AdultFear her father wasn't looking]]'']]. And since we were pretty much given the whole story of her fate thanks to the EasterEgg mini game on Night 2, and Baby's story on Night 3, this means that despite Afton's several attempts to protect his daughter by keeping her away from Baby, since he ''knew'' what would happen... ''He still failed.''
** On Night 3, there's a secret conversation that you can have with Baby [[spoiler:if you return to the space under the desk where you encountered the Bidybab in Night 1 and shut the door]]. There, she recalls the one time she was on stage. She's so wistful and nostalgic when she remembers the glitter, the smell of birthday cake, the children laughing and playing... Then Baby was left alone with a young girl whom she "offered ice cream" and something happened. The worst part is, Baby doesn't really know what she did or ''why'' she did it. Just imagine: you were built for making children happy and you're doing your job, then suddenly you do something bad to one of those kids, you're unable to understand why, and there's always the possibility of you doing it again...

Just imagine: you were built for making children happy and you're doing your job, then suddenly you do something bad to one of those kids and you're unable to understand why and there's the possibility of you doing it again...

He goes to the Sister Location to fix the animatronics, and stop them from killing any more children. Instead, he's forced to suffer at the hands of his creations for five nights. If that wasn't enough, at the end of the fifth night, [[CruelAndUnusualDeath he has his insides forcibly scooped out]] so that Ennard can wear his skin as a suit, escape the Sister Location, and presumably go on to kill the aforementioned children.]]
** And for one that extends to the other games, think about it; [[spoiler:the mysterious Purple Guy individual would go on to kill several children, while the Puppet and the possessed Freddy were completely incapable of stopping it until their vengeance years later. If Ennard really did take over and follow through with its murder of isolated children like Baby did, not only was it another Animatronic that basically caused the constant hell of the rest of the franchise, but it was a completely alien entity to them that gained and then ''horrifically'' abused its freedom -- and may not have even intended to. Afton may have created his own murderer and a mass serial killer, but the Fazbear corporation essentially created their own downfall with their [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman inhumane treatment of machines they likely didn't even realize were sentient.]]]]

** Perhaps the worst thing is that Baby's eyes in-game are green. [[spoiler: Just like the young girl's eyes in the mini-game, where Baby's eyes were distinctly blue. If she really did kill your character's daughter, she could be possessed like the classic Freddy gang, which could be part of the reason why she's trying to save you rather than kill you. Up until [[BigBad Ennard]] gets involved, anyway.]]
* Listen to [[spoiler:Ennard]]'s dialogue [[spoiler:in the bad ending.]] It sounds like they're just lonely things who want to be able to see the world, but know they can't due to their appearance. [[spoiler:Granted, their methods of achieving this are [[GrandTheftMe a]] [[FreudianExcuse bit]] unorthodox, but still.]]
