* Trillian is a shout-out to ''TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy'' - her journal claims that "Trillian wasn't always the Rogue with the Heart of Gold." ''Heart of Gold'' is the name of the ship in ''Hitchhiker's Guide'' with the infinite improbability drive.

* The Massive Doors' journal entry mentions TheDailyShow.

* The journal entry for both the Keep and the Wizard Tower have references to related DungeonsAndDragons modules. “B2: Keep on the Borderlands” and “C2: Ghost Tower of Inverness"

* One mission in Chapter 3 is a shoutout/parody to the escape from the Death Star in ''StarWarsANewHope''. Another mission in Chapter 3 is a parody of {{Portal}}, complete with Siege Towers as Sentry stand-ins and an AI named [=MadOS=] that looks almost exactly like GladOS. In both missions the shoutouts are [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]].
