''Dino Fury'' marks a big transitional phase for Power Rangers. This was the last season to be aired on Nickelodeon as their contract with Hasbro expired in 2021 and the latter decided not to renew it. While the first season aired all its episodes on Nickelodeon till the end of the year, the second season was moved to Netflix as an original series on the streaming platform. Because of this, ''Dino Fury'' is the final season of ''Power Rangers'' to be aired on traditional television, although some international broadcasters have premiered episodes of the show ahead of the streaming platform.

The 28th and 29th seasons of the long-running ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' franchise, [[{{Frankenslation}} adapting footage from]] ''Series/KishiryuSentaiRyusoulger'', succeeding ''Series/PowerRangersBeastMorphers'' in 2021. Announced by Hasbro at the 2020 Toy Fair on February 22th, 2020.

** In the episode "Morphin Master", Ollie says "Rangers with crystal powers? I suppose it could be a thing." Since by the time this aired, [[Series/MashinSentaiKiramager]] already existed...

* HumanAlienDiscovery: For most of the series, [[spoiler:Amelia believes she's human and wants to find her missing parents At the end of the first part of the finale, though, her supposed grandfather drops a huge bombshell: her parents were [[RubberForeheadAlien Rafkonians]]. She unintentionally reads his mind and sees his memories of her parents, which causes her antennae to come out.]]

** Solon unleashes a loud roar in episode 8. However, since Solon is supposed to be a type of dinosaur, she should not be able to roar[[note]]At least according to fossil evidence at the moment[[/note]].

* CombiningMecha: But of course. It wouldn't be Power Rangers without it. Specifically, the T-Rex Champion Zord combines with the Tricera Blade Zord and the Ankylo Hammer Zord to create the Dino Fury Megazord. Then that combines with the Tiger Claw Zord and Stego Spike Zord to create the Dino Fury Megazord: Warrior Formation.
* FiveManBand: Also a given. Zayto is the first, being the only survivor of the Rafkon team, Amelia and Ollie join in episode 1, and Izzy and Javi show up in episode 4.

* TransformingMecha: The T-Rex Champion Zord can transform from T-Rex Mode into a humanoid Battle Mode.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Adrien appears in only two episodes but vanishes from the plot after that.

* BreakingOldTrends: After 27 years of Green Rangers being men, this season features the first ''two'' female Green rangers in Power Rangers history: the first being Zayto's teammate in a flashback and the second being Izzy Garcia. [[labelnote:*]] They're preceded by a [[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger green extra ranger]] and [[Series/UchuSentaiKyuranger two green]] [[Series/MashinSentaiKiramager core rangers]] in Sentai, though ''Ninja Steel'' never had a counterpart for Midoninger and the other two have yet to be adapted into ''Power Rangers'' (for now, at least). [[/labelnote]] This is given precedent in-universe by having the green Morphin' Master use a female model like the pink one.

** After the reveal that [[spoiler:Amelia is Rafkonian]], going back in previous episodes [[spoiler:like when she swapped places with Zayto and was curious as to how his antennae worked and that she was the only one of the "Earth" Rangers who enthusiastically dug into the Flargen cake]] subtlety hint at her true origins. Moreover, once this is revealed, it makes Void Knight's look of horror in "New Leaf" -- where a father is in anguish of seeing his daughter turned into tree -- be brought into a new light: [[spoiler:he's reminded of his ''own'' daughter whom he gave to a janitor for safe keeping.]]

** ''Morphing Master'' reveals that several key events from previous seasons [[spoiler: Were the doing of Morphing Master Green, including Jason's involvement in the 2020 ''Power Rangers Beast Morphers'' episode 'Grid Connection', Steel becoming human in Beast Morpher's finale 'Evox Unleashed', and the legendary battle from 2014's ''Power Rangers Super Megaforce'']]

* DarkerAndEdgier: Season 2 is arguably this as the humor has been toned down as the season progress, possibly because of the switch from airing on Nickelodeon to Netflix exclusively.

** The Tyrannosaurus statue at Dinohenge possesses [[CriticalResearchFailure three obviously visible fingers]], which is odd considering Tyrannosaurus is famous for having only two.

* RecycledInSpace: Power Rangers with '''[[EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs DINOSAURS]]... [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers THE]] [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder FOURTH]] [[Series/PowerRangersDinoCharge TIME]]'''! With an added KnightInShiningArmor theme.

* ArtisticLicensePaleontology: The series features StockDinosaurs such as ''Ankylosaurus'', ''Pachycephalosaurus'', ''Stegosaurus'', ''Triceratops'', and ''Tyrannosaurus''. With ''Dimetrodon'', ''Mosasaurus'', ''Pteranodon'', and ''Smilodon'', none of which are dinosaurs. While most lived during the Late Cretaceous when Zayto and the other knights were fighting the Sporix, some were extinct before the Cretaceous or would not evolve until after the dinosaurs died.

* ArtisticLicensePaleontology: The series features StockDinosaurs such as Ankylosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus. With Dimetrodon, Mosasaurus, Pteranodon, and Smilodon. While most lived during the Late Cretaceous when Zayto and the other knights were fighting the Sporix, some were extinct before the Cretaceous or would not evolve until after the dinosaurs died.
** The flashback features shots of zords modelled after Dimetrodon, Mosasaurus, Pteranodon, and Smilodon, which are referred to as dinosaurs, even though they aren’t closely related. The franchise also still refers to Smilodon as a Sabertoothed Tiger[[note]]Smilodon was a Sabertoothed 'Cat' a member of the Machairodontinae, which are not closely related to tigers or any living cat species.[[/note]].
** While Ankylosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Pteranodon, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus, and a type of Mosasaur all lived in the Late Cretaceous North America they did not all live in the same era. With Pteranodon going extinct around 83 million years ago not surviving until 65 million years ago when these other animals lived.
** Dimetrodon lived during the Permian and died out before dinosaurs evolved, Stegosaurus is from the Jurassic period, while Smilodon wouldn't have even evolved until the Pleistocene some 60 million years later, nevermind any mammals of that size. Not to mention how an aquatic Mosasaurus is somehow able to move around on land.

** Then again, most of this is consistent in how dinosaurs have been portrayed in [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers previous]] [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder seasons]], so it's likely just how dinosaurs evolved on this particular Earth[[note]][[Series/PowerRangersDinoCharge Dino Charge]] takes place in a different universe[[/note]].

* StockDinosaurs: Among the Zords shown in the flashback, we have Ankylosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops Tyrannosaurus. With Dimetrodon, Mosasaurus, Pteranodon, and Smilodon as famous extinct non-dinosaurs.
