* ReasonYouSuckSpeech: Rusty not only chews out both sets of representatives for wasting time with "pool battles" and slinging petty insults/threats at one another like children, but goes into a posthumous CallingTheOldManOut on Jonas, Sr. for passing the buck on his responsibilities in maintaining peace during the treaty signing, reinforcing Jonas' position as an overall "shitty parent", not just towards Rusty, but to his allies and associates as well.
* RobotBuddy: Jonas intended for H.E.L.Pe.R.s to be mass-produced as household servants, but things went downhill after a baby managed to pluck one's eye out and almost choke on it. It's heavily implied at this point in the series that he could have avoided this [[NoProductSafetyStandards if he had just made sure to build them a little better.]]

* ThrowTheDogABone: While things don't usually go well for him, Rusty is able to successfully mediate a deal between the Guild and the O.S.I.

Doctor Venture, Brock and the family return to the remains of the Venture Compound for the re-signing of the GCI and OSI's Treaty of Tolerance.

* AbusiveParents: Rusty realizes his father was just as bad a parent to him as he was a mediator between the OSI and the Guild years earlier after he sees the "traditions" his father came up with, such as the pool fight, and how the OSI and Guild representatives act like petulant children towards each other. The story about the mass-produced H.E.L.P.eR.s also hints that [[BrilliantButLazy he didn't really bother to child-proof them so that their parts wouldn't end up as a choking hazard]].
* BlatantLies: During Phantom Limb's introduction, he is stated to be the "victor of the [[Recap/TheVentureBrosS2E13ShowdownAtCremationCreekPart2 Battle of Cremation Creek]]". He was decidedly not the winner there and several individuals are present who were (Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, Rusty, Brock, Hank, Dean...). No one calls him out on it as everyone is introduced with impressive sounding titles and accomlishments as part of the event's bluster.
* BothSidesHaveAPoint: Inverted, as both sides use their own tactics to try and make it look like they have the objective high ground. The Guild lowballs just how threatening their villains can be, such as waving away the dangers of Level 5 villains and heroes when the previous episode showed how powerful they can potentially be in the form of Victor von Helping. The OSI, mostly Hunter, outright accuses the Guild of slander and frames whatever they say as hyperbolic personal attacks.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Rusty chews out the OSI and Guild for acting like children with their inability to compromise. Nobody denies his words.
* LikeADuckTakesToWater: After previously only being shown to talk big but almost never deliver on it, Dermott seems to have taken to being an OSI grunt pretty well.
* LogicalLatecomer: Rusty learns the bizarre traditions of the summit as he moderates it, calling out how odd they are. By the end, he realizes that they exist because Jonas Sr. saw the OSI/Guild conflict as a bunch of children fighting, and treated them as he treated his own son.

* ThrowTheDogABone: While things don't usually go well for him, Rusty is able to successfully mediate a deal between the Guild and the OSI.

After after a while, the H.E.L.P.eR.s were recalled when the parts were declared choking hazards, Team Venture's H.E.L.P.eR. and a red second-generation H.E.L.P.eR. the only surviving robots.

* WhamEpisode: This episode hints that Rusty was also cloned and brought back to life repeatedly, just like Hank and Dean.
** Or that's how Dean interpretted it. Instead, it could be that Dean is Rusty's clone.
