* ArtisticLicenseFilmProduction: The Dukes (plus Boss, Rosco and Flash) make their own way to the studio lot at about 9am in the General Lee and go to the set with no makeup. The director just tells the Dukes to come around the corner driving the General Lee "in an exciting way," no discussion. At least the one time we see them do it, it's described as a rehearsal.
* CarSkiing: The aforementioned "exciting way" the General Lee comes around the corner.
* EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys: To evade studio security Rosco sneaks into a wardrobe trailer and puts on a gorilla costume. He starts craving bananas. Meanwhile Boss Hogg has a lizard head (but is otherwise still dressed like himself) and Flash wears a dog-sized pirate hat as a disguise.
* FanserviceExtra: As the Dukes (with Boss and Rosco) drive into the studio they pass by some women wearing very revealing harem girl costumes. Later Boss and Rosco end up crashing into the set of ''Harem Nights'', another picture being shot at the same studio.
* HopeSpot: As Boss is railing at a studio security guard about his screenplay, a producer driving onto the set overhears and approaches him and Rosco - wanting Flash, Rosco's dog, for a film.
* HypotheticalCasting: Boss Hogg wants Robert Redford to star in the film of his screenplay ''The JD Hogg Story'' as JD Hogg. Rosco wants Burt Reynolds to play him. For JD's wife [[{{BBW}} Lulu]] he suggests Bo Derek (if Raquel Welch isn't available).
* InsuranceFraud: Jason Dillard, the producer of the film, tries to off Brock Curtis, the star of the film, for the insurance payoff, because he's flat broke.
* LowSpeedChase: At one point Boss and Rosco are on the run from studio security, Boss and Rosco on a bicycle built for two and the security guard in a golf cart.
-->'''Waylon Jennings:''' You know, they'd go a whole lot faster if they'd just get off and started running. But old habits is hard to break. And if you're from Hazzard, a chase means wheels - even if it is a kiddie-car.
* MakeItLookLikeAnAccident: The various attempts on Brock's life. First Brock's brakes are drained, then someone cuts him off and tries to "accidentally" run him off the road, then later in Hollywood they drop a Klieg light on him, and finally an unmanned car is pointed to mow him down. In each instance the Dukes intervene to save him.
* OnOneCondition: Boss Hogg (the Dukes' probation officer) allows the Duke boys to go to Hollywood...provided that he and Rosco can go along too. Rosco also takes Flash, his Basset Hound.
* ProsceniumReveal: The first scene is of a man who is driving down a country road, finds the road blocked by a downed tree, and then is attacked by two mask wearing thugs. Then it's revealed that this is a scene from a Hollywood movie being shot on location in Hazzard.
* ShapedLikeItself: When Boss and Rosco accost the producer (again) while on the set in Hollywood.
-->'''Boss:''' Mr. Dillard! Oh Mr. Dillard, I'd know you any place.
-->'''Rosco:''' Yeah, you look just like you do.
* SmallNameBigEgo: The stuido security don't care at all that Boss Hogg is the Commissioner of Hazzard County and Rosco is the Sheriff. They just want them thrown off the lot.
* TakingTheBullet: Dillard's flunky sets a driverless car in motion to run over Brock. The Dukes see the car heading for Brock and drive the General Lee in between them, getting hit in the process but saving Brock from being killed. Though when we see the General again just a couple of minutes later it's undamaged.
* UnwantedAssistance: The studio security really don't appreciate the Dukes looking into all the "accidents" on their own.
* VehicularSabotage: Dillard's flunky bleeds the brake fluid out of Brock's car so his brakes go out during the shooting of a scene. The Dukes speed after him and save his life. In Hollywood, Dillard's flunky cuts the General Lee's fuel line in order to kill the Dukes during one of their stunts, who are getting in the way of the plan to kill Brock.
* WhoWouldWantToWatchUs: The Dukes' response when the director and star of the picture want to fly them to Hollywood and add them to the movie.
* WriteWhoYouKnow: InUniverse, Boss Hogg tries to get Dilalrd interested in his screenplay ''The JD Hogg Story''. When Dillard has them removed, they go around to all the other producers on the lot pitching the film.
* YouHave48Hours: Dillard's bank gives him 24 hours before they cut off his credit.
