* BigNo:
** Viral, as the Turtles escape the cage.
** Played for laughs when Serling is sent back into the game and confronted by the Turtles' extra lives.
* BigYes: Cody after Viral is forced to retreat.

* ChekhovsGun: The salesman tells the group that the Gaminator won't be available for at least a year, due to still being in beta-testing. Later, the Turtles are able to escape the cage because a glitch suddenly appears, and Donnie recalls what they were told.

* GodzillaThreshold: After spotting the glitch in the cage, Donnie says this could be a way to save themselves, but he acknowledges a host of factors that could derail that. Mikey remarks that's boring and just jumps through since they don't have any other options.

* {{Irony}}:
** When Cody is about to explain the situation, Serling remarks he was just about to commend the Turtles for being so quiet.
** Since Serling is able to touch the Turtles' bodies without getting a shock, Cody realizes the neuralizing field only affects organic beings. He calls him the key to saving the Turtles, and this trope isn't lost on Serling.

* TemptingFate: After destroying the last of the swamp bugs, Mikey remarks their troubles are over. Cue a massive Viral-like serpent emerging from the water.

** With their weapons, the Turtles are able to turn the tide against Viral, but just as Raph snarks, she demonstrates unlimited health and regrows her limbs.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Before being sent into the game, Serling asks Cody if this will be dangerous. He then looks over to the system and sees the Turtles dodging a Viral insect, so he remarks in this tone, "Never mind."

Added DiffLines:

* BloodKnight: Leo observes that Mikey is enjoying this situation way too much.

Added DiffLines:

* HiddenDepths: Right before playing, Mikey offered to let Cody play since the system was supposedly meant for him.
* InternalReveal: The Turtles learn that Viral works for Sh'Okanabo.
* LittleNo: Cody when Viral reveals her trap.

Added DiffLines:

* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: Sh'Okanabo will allow Viral to attempt her plan, but he orders her to bring the Turtles to him so that he can kill them himself. (This, however, may be less him wanting to pleasure of doing it and more him not thinking Viral can pull it off.) After the Turtles escape the cage, though, Viral stops trying to simply capture them and angrily says Sh'Okanabo can have the scraps.

Added DiffLines:

* SpeakInUnison: After the Turtles get zapped into the game, both Leonardo and Cody remark, "Oh, boy."

Added DiffLines:

* TrappedInTVLand: The video game variety, as Viral zaps the Turtles into the Gaminator in a bid to deliver them to Sh'Okanabo. When the Turtles escape Dungeonator, they pass through Swampinator and Copinator.
* TrojanHorse: How Viral describes her plan after trapping the Turtles in a cage. She learned they really wanted to play the new Gaminator system, so she tampered with a unit's neural interference, arranged for it to be delivered to the penthouse, and just waited to spring the trap.

* ExplodingBarrels: In Swampinator, the red rocks explode if anyone touches them.
* ExactWords: Donatello suggests Cody get them some extra lives. Cody decides to do just that [[MesACrowd all at once]].
* GenreSavvy: Mikey references and exploits his knowledge of video game tropes.
-->'''Leonardo:''' Now, I really wish I'd paid less attention in training and played more video games.

Added DiffLines:

* SpannerInTheWorks: The glitch in the Dungeonator level allows the Turtles to interrupt Viral's download and escape the cage.

Added DiffLines:

* TemptingFate: After destroying the last of the swamp bugs, Mikey remarks their troubles are over. Cue a massive Viral-like serpent emerging from the water.

Added DiffLines:

* VideoGameCrueltyPunishment: Discussed and subverted. Raph mouths off to an NPC in the Dungeonator level, and a cage immediately traps the Turtles. Mikey thinks it's a result of this trope, but it's actually because of Viral.
