* MySignificanceSenseIsTingling: Kanan senses when Rex is being tortured.

** Ezra, when he's captured, once again gives a cover name of 'Jabba the Hutt'; but by now the Empire has worked out that it's an alias.

** Rex may be an outstanding soldier, but he's still old. He's unable to keep up for long periods of time without rest, which results in his capture.

* ArmourIsUseless: Kanan complains about the stormtrooper armor serving no purpose after Ezra stuns both him and Rex on impulse.

* InstantlyProvenWrong: Ezra stuns Kanan and Rex coming to rescue him (since both were disguised as stormtroopers), and when they wake up, he tries to tell them they were knocked out in a big fight with Imperials, but they both fought valiantly. They seem about to buy it, until Chopper plays a holo of Ezra stunning them. Cue Kanan being furious that Ezra shot him.

** When Kanan and Rex catch up to Ezra, they're dressed as stormtroopers; naturally, Ezra shoots them. Thankfully, his blaster only seems capable of a [[StunGuns "stun" setting]], and Rex is impressed by Ezra's quick reaction.

He compensates for this by leaping off the wall at the technicians, using his own momentum to counter that of the blaster bolts.

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: Rex is both amused and impressed at Ezra for stunning both him and Kanan while they were disguised as stormtroopers.

* BadassBoast: Ezra informs the three stormtroopers about to stick him in a cell that he won't hurt them. They laugh this off, then Ezra takes out all three with minimal physical force, reiterating his claim before locking them all in the cell.
* BlatantLies: After stunning Rex and Kanan, Ezra tries to claim there was an epic battle that they barely won. Chopper plays back a holo-vid of Ezra shooting them, ruining that attempt.
* BondVillainStupidity: Ezra is able to easily take out the stormtroopers escorting him to a cell because one of them is ''carrying his lightsaber''. You know, Admiral, when an experienced ISB agent warns you not to underestimate a prisoner just because he's a scrawny teenager, perhaps you should listen.
* TheBridge: The Interdictor keeps the standard layout of a Star Destroyer, but the crewpits have the circular security consoles from the Death Star.

* CassandraTruth: Kallus' warnings regarding Ezra go largely unheeded. As a result, he's not surprised to show up and find Titus in an EscapePod, his ship already destroyed.

* DamselOutOfDistress: Ezra counts as a RareMaleExample. He reassures Sato that he's been captured and escaped many times, and Kanan lampshades that he tends to get himself out of trouble. Sure enough, Ezra uses his Jedi powers to escape before he's even thrown in the brig.

* DressingAsTheEnemy: Kanan and Rex infiltrate the Interdictor disguised as stormtroopers. Rex isn't especially thrilled, because he hates stormtrooper armour. Chopper's along as well, in his Imperial paintjob.
* FathersQuest: While Kanan is not Ezra's biological father, he's made frequent jokes about Ezra being one of his and Hera's kids — including in this episode — he is Ezra's guardian, and he's completely dedicated to rescuing Ezra and uninterested in disabling the Interdictor in order to help the rebellion since his main interest is protecting his friends and he really didn't want to get pulled into another war in the first place.
* FireForgedFriends: Kanan finally accepts Rex as a friend after Rex nearly pulls a HeroicSacrifice.

* InstantlyProvenWrong: Ezra stuns Kanan and Rex coming to rescue him (since both were disguised as stormtroopers), and when they wake up, he tries to tell them they were knocked out in a big fight with Imperials, but they both fought well. * JustAKid: Admiral Titus takes this view of Ezra. Kallus warns him against it and tells him to take every precaution. To a lesser extent, Sato thinks this as well, until Ezra proves himself.
* LameComeback: An Imperial officer tells a disguised Rex "Your armour's looking a bit tight, trooper." Rex's response?

* RunningGag: Kanan and Rex complaining about stormtrooper armour.

** Admiral Titus doesn't think Ezra will be a problem, though he goes along with Kallus' orders anyway. Kallus needles him about his doubts when he arrives to find the Interdictor and its escorts have been reduced to debris.

* ImperialStormtrooperMarksmanshipAcademy: Lampshaded and justified. When Rex fails to hit the Stormtroopers, Kanan snarks that he shoots like a Stormtrooper. Rex then complains that the helmet restricts his vision, takes it off, and shoots just fine.

As the metre-long shaft of blue plasma causes the trooper who held it in confiscation to frantically flail about trying to turn it off, Ezra leaps into action.
* JediMindTrick: Kanan uses a Force suggestion on two Stormtroopers after they board the Interdictor to convince them to allow Kanan and Rex to proceed into the Interdictor instead of repairing the ship they came in on.

* ManchurianAgent: Kanan thinks Rex, being a clone trooper, will be subject to this once they enter Imperial territory, believing that he will realize his "true" loyalty and turn on him.

* MythologyGag: Ezra activating his lightsaber while it's on a Stormtrooper's belt could be seen as poking fun at the early idea of Stormtroopers carrying lightsabers as regular weapons.

* NoGravityForYou: How Chopper handles the workers in the gravity core room. He . . . may have neglected to inform Ezra of that part of his plan. Ezra still performed admirably in deflecting the blaster shots of the equally debilitated Imperial crewmen, while Chopper had the foresight to plant himself to the deck with his mag-clamps beforehand.
