This episode
Her first stop is Rarity's boutique, as the fashonista is having a meltdown... except it's because she misplaced a ribbon, and she finds it seconds later. False alarm.
Second stop is Sweet Apple Acres, where Rainbow Dash is demolishing one of Applejack's barns. Clearly the two are having a fight! Not so much - Applejack hired Rainbow Dash to destroy an old barn so they can replace it.
Twilight Sparkle, growing desperate, moves on to Fluttershy's place, since Fluttershy ''always'' has problems to work out. On her arrival, though, she sees Fluttershy beating the hell out of a bear, and laments her growing a spine the one day she needed her to be a scaredycat. (It's actually chiropractic medicine.)
By the time she meets her friends for the picnic, Twilight Sparkle is downright insane - no matter what they say, she's convinced that Princess Celestia will be furious if she doesn't get her letter in on time, and it's almost nightfall. So since she can't ''find'' a problem to solve, she decides to ''make'' one.
Twilight Sparkle finds the Cutie Mark Crusaders and tries to get them interested in an old Smartypants doll of hers, hoping to create an AppleOfDiscord situation. It's a ''really'' old doll, though, so they aren't into it... until she uses magic to make it irresistable to anyone who sees it. Too bad "anyone" doesn't just include the CMC, but also Big Macintosh, the Mayor, Derpy Hooves, and half the population of Ponyville. And their fighting keeps her from getting a clear view of the doll to take the spell off of it.
By the time the stampede of ponies fighting over Smartypants reaches the picnic, it's sundown, rendering Twilight's efforts meaningless. To make matters worse, Princess Celestia arrives and demands Twilight Sparkle meet her in the library. (On the upside, she removes the spell from Smartypants.)
At the library, Twilight Sparkle confesses that she caused all the chaos out of her fears of not being a good student; just as Celestia starts reassuring her, the rest of the mane six pour in and defend Twilight, admitting they should have seen just how much her worries were getting to her and tried to help.
