She's cynical about it, finding it shallow to feel connected to an entire continent with vastly different circumstances region to region, only to return home while Africa's problems continue with no one but her to try and address them. Lana says she feels something on the mission, but also finds no actual connection with the African wilderness and much prefers a pampered, urban life.
