Meet Creator/{{Nickelodeon}}, the very first kids'-only cable channel. It started out as an educational kids' channel, with ''Pinwheel'' (written by ''SesameStreet'' head writer Lou Berger) as its flagship show. By the mid-1980s, with the Canadian co-production ''YouCantDoThatOnTelevision'', the channel became known for its more colorful, irreverent programming, mostly the game shows and animated series[[note]]both syndicated and in-house[[/note]], but the live-action shows soon followed suit. Not just for kids, though, as clearly shown here.

** Oh yes and remember the infamous "A kid his age should be outside playing with his friends, not sitting alone in his room bopping his Boppo." line Phil once said about Chuckie in the original series? Well, ''All Grown Up'' did have a little ContinuityNod to this on how Angelica once said "Remember when I use to bop your Boppo?" to Chuckie. While one could argue that this is more of an InnocentInnuendo but considering how the original line is often viewed let's just say some viewers were rather amused by this scene.

*** But that's nothing compared to the first line of the ''WesternAnimation/MrMeaty'' theme song: "All God's creatures, fresh off the grill." [[CrossesTheLineTwice It successfully offended both right-wing Christian groups and left-wing vegetarian and vegan groups.]]
* For its live action ''kids'' shows (especially the Creator/DanSchneider shows): "Oh My God". gratuitously used by the characters. that's all.
