** The signature Silent Hill "fog" that made for paranoia and claustrophobia is basically little puffs of cigarette smoke appearing out of nowhere and a line that you're constantly chasing to no avail. Sometimes there really is no fog to speak of and you are exposed to the game world ending in mid-air.

** What killed it for me was the immortal line, "Are you okay?" Which was so out of place that I cracked up on my first playthrough. It's hard to take the scene seriously when Henry is asking a woman who is not only covered in blood, but has covered the room in her blood, if she's okay.

No jury would convict you for barking out "Holy shit, it's Woody Allen!" voice bears an amusing resemblance to Woody Allen's. Someone obviously never played SH 2 if they think Pyramid Head raping monsters is \"out of place\".

* Pyramid Head's raping of the town's monsters, while terrifying, is so insanely out of place that one can't help but laugh, especially the second time when the monster being raped is moaning in pleasure (apparently even abominations wrapped in their own skin like it).

* Cynthia's death scene features the very spine-chilling and sad piece "Room Of Angel", actually a theme of the game's main antagonist - both the music and lyrics make it a TearJerker in that context. As for Cynthia's death, the music may provide effective tone, but if you notice the lyrics in that situation? "Here's a lullaby to close your eyes/It was always you that I despised/I don't feel enough for you to cry." Why, thank you.

* Downpour has its fair share of narm. Every time Murphy screams, he sounds ridiculous. And then there's the childish "Get away from me!" he'll do on occasion. But the most notable mention goes to when he has the flashback of in the prison. [[spoiler: "CHARLIIIIEEEEE!!!"]] Then we get treated to an awkward closeup of a little girl screaming. The models definitely don't do it justice.
** It's understandable Murphy would scream like that when the Void is tearing pieces of existence out of him, but he does so constantly, even when slipping down what's basically a water slide.

** Alex Shepherd is in a mostly abandoned town that is riddled with chasms blocking all exits to the town, and the only means of departure is by boat. However, in spite of encountering killer monsters, in addition to the previously mentioned problems with the town, he can inspect an old beat-up vehicle and wonder "Why hasn't this been towed? It's clearly broken down." Seriously Alex, is that what's on your mind at that moment?

** In the second part, there are some panels where the main character looks like he's been traced off of Creator/ChristopherEccleston of Series/DoctorWho and GIJoeTheRiseOfCobra fame. Then there's the confrontation with an evil doctor who looks just like ChristianBale, and, in the next panel featuring him, it's the exact same image, only flipped. It certainly takes the reader out of the experience a bit.

* The fight with comes off really awkward; despite being presumably human, he can soak up a few clips worth of ammunition. This alone wouldn't be so bad, except that you have almost no space to maneuver, so all you're doing is emptying your guns into him at near-point blank and hearing him awkwardly gasp in pain, while he tries to do the same to you.
