** If Sonic and Cyborg are together, Sonic will ask if he was [[ComicBook/ArchieComicsSonicTheHedgehog roboti]][[WesternAnimation/SonicSatAM cized]].

*** The main part of this area requires you to rebuild Bessie, after which [[Recap/DoctorWho20thASTheFiveDoctors the Third Doctor drives off, chased by a time scoop]] (and dropping a minikit in the process).

** In the power plant, Mr. Burns puts up a sign saying "323 days without otherworldly invasion" before changing it to 0 days. ''LEGO Dimensions'' was released on September 27, 2015; 322 days prior to the game's release, on November 9, 2014, was the airing of the ''Simpsons''[=/=]''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'' crossover "[[Recap/TheSimpsonsS26E6Simpsorama Simpsorama]]", the most recent canon ''Simpsons'' crossover episode at the time[[note]]A. While the later episode "[[Recap/TheSimpsonsS26E22MathletesFeat Mathlete's Feat]]" did feature a ''WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty'' crossover short as its CouchGag, it being a couch gag in the first place immediately renders that crossover non-canon and B. not long after the release of ''LEGO Dimensions'', "Cue Detective" firmly cemented the canonicity of "Simpsorama" with a single scene of Marge's revisiting Bender's inert body in the Simpson family basement.[[/note]].

* Legolas has the ability to rail grind, referencing when he slid down the Oliphant's trunk in ''Film/TheReturnOfTheKing''.

** The Level starts [[GravityScrew on the side of]] [[WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie The Octan Tower]], then moves through [[Film/LordOfTheRings Isengard]] and the rooftops of [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Gotham City]]. These three locations come from the homeworlds of the Starter Pack characters.

** The ''Lord of the Rings'' portion of the opening cutscene is structured almost exactly as it was in its own VideoGame/LEGOAdaptationGame, with the only real difference being that Gandalf keeps his hat.

** One of the TARDIS' skins patterns it after its original console room.

** Certain civilians will mention their stock broker telling them to invest in "canned food and water guns", a {{Bowdlerised}} version of something the Brain Gremlin advised a stock broker to tell their clients in ''Film/Gremlins2TheNewBatch''.[[note]]The original quote said "shotguns" instead of "water guns".[[/note]] Other lines mention [[Film/{{Gremlins}} a man dressed as Santa getting stuck in the chimney]] and [[Film/Gremlins2TheNewBatch plants being unauthorized in the workplace]].

*** Batman, Robin, and Batgirl pass [[Series/{{Batman}} another Dynamic Duo]] while falling off of Wayne Tower.

** The first alternate skin for the Batmobile is the black-and-red color scheme from the 1960s ''Series/{{Batman}}'' series.

*** When Sonic defeats Robo Sonic and Mecha Sonic, Eggman respectively calls them a "bolt brain" and an "automated idiot", two insults he previously used in the ''[[WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog]]'' cartoon.

** Similar to the Eggman and Ice King parade balloons from the story pack, Times Square has a parade balloon shaped like [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Sonic.]] Unlike the Eggman and Ice King balloons, however, Sonic parade balloons do exist and have been featured in the real Macy's Thanksgiving Day parades (which the parade in ''Ghostbusters'' is based on).

** K.I.T.T. will mention to Sonic that Shadow wanted to buy it once, either a reference to his [[http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/sonic/images/9/94/ShadowTrans.jpg vaguely KITT-like vehicle]] in ''Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed'' or the vehicle mechanic from Shadow's story in ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006''.

* If left idle, LSP will either [[Recap/AdventureTimeS4E2FiveShortGraybles sing "These Lumps"]], or [[AdventureTimeS4E12Gotcha don a plastic bag dress and some cherry lipstick]].

** Betelgeuse calls DC Batman, "Film/{{Birdman}}", referencing a movie starring Betelgeuse's original actor, Creator/MichaelKeaton. He also recalls, "...I tried that gig a couple of times", referring to Keaton's stints as the Caped Crusader in ''Film/{{Batman}}'' and ''Film/BatmanReturns'' (directed, like ''Beetlejuice'', by Creator/TimBurton).

** One hidden golden brick involves playing through the [[Recap/AdventureTimeS2E16GuardiansOfSunshine Guardians of Sunshine]] game. It even ends with Finn entering the code to defeat Silly Sam.

** Another hidden area is [[Recap/AdventureTimeS5E16Puhoy Pillow World]].

** When you talk to Amy, she laments how people treat her like a damsel for [[VideoGame/SonicCD getting kidnapped by a robotic doppleganger of her crush]] and forget about how [[VideoGame/SonicAdventure she reunited a bird with its family]] or how [[VideoGame/SonicAdventure2 she helped break Sonic out of prison]]. She later mentions how she infiltrated the Egg Fleet to rescue Froggy and Chocola, referencing SonicHeroes. Also, at one point while fighting Eggman’s badniks, she shouts [[VideoGame/SonicAdventure2 “Have no fear… Amy Rose is here!”]]

** [[spoiler:Among the many people teaming up to stop Vortech is [[Franchise/ScoobyDoo Mystery Inc.]] This means that they are taking part in defeating a cosmic being planning on bringing about the end of the universe. [[WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooMysteryIncorporated They actually went through something similar before.]]]]

** Mikey from ''The Goonies'' wonders why Frodo keeps calling him a hobbit. Mikey's original actor, Creator/SeanAstin, also played Sam in the ''Lord of the Rings'' movies.

** f The IMF Scrambler bike has a light-up skin that makes it look rather like the vehicles from Film/{{TRON}}.

** The bonus area is [[WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie Cloud Cuckoo Land]], with various characters such as [[SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker the Joker]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Ninjago}} Master Chen]], [[Film/TheLordOfTheRings Sauron (in his box from)]], and [[VideoGame/{{Portal}} the turrets]] hanging out.

** Ethan can breathe underwater; a reference to the underwater scene from ''[[Film/MissionImpossibleRogueNation Rogue Nation]]'', where he had to hold his breath for six minutes.
** Ethan has little suction cups that he uses to [[Film/MissionImpossibleGhostProtocol climb up special blue walls]]. His right suction cup also tends to lose grip occasionally.
** The IMF Scrambler bike has a light-up skin that makes it look rather like the vehicles from Film/TRON.

** The knock that Kittridge uses at the end of the "Knock Knock!" mission [[spoiler: to order fast food]] is the opening theme from ''Film/TheTerminator''. And if you die during said mission, Kittridge's cry of "Agent? Agent! AGENT!" will be [[Videogame/MetalGearSolid rather familiar...]]
