They've gotten a bit softer in recent years, with ''Pacific Daydream,'' ''The Teal Album,'' ''The Black Album,'' and ''OK Human'' mainly sitting at a 3-soft 4. However, with the hard rock-influenced ''Van Weezer,'' they go up the scale again, with the most of the album residing at 5-6.
