''Code:Breaker'' is an manga series by Akimine Kamijyo (the creator of ''SamuraiDeeperKyo'') which ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2008 to 2013. It was adapted into a 13-episode anime in 2012.

* [[GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere Rare Kind From Nowhere]]: The story has pretty much stated over and over again that the only two Rare Kind left were Sakura and her biological father. Then literally [[AssPull out of nowhere]] there is a group of them that have not been even hinted at until their reveal and are planning to kill all the Power Users. [[spoiler: And now we learn there could be other rare kinds at Sakura's school, along with other power-users.]]

* WorldOfBuxom: Sakura, Aoba, Lily, Sakura's mother, [[spoiler: Sakura's biological mother, the Saint Fighters]], plus all those bondage books Heike reads.
* {{Yakuza}}: [[spoiler:Sakura's father.]] [[color:white: actually her maternal uncle.]]

* ParentalAbandonment: [[JerkAssFacade Ogami's]] parents were murdered; [[MismatchedEyes Toki's]] father is a heartless JerkAss (and also [[spoiler: and also Prime Minister of Japan and a leader of EDEN]] with no mention of a mom; [[GenkiGirl Sakura]] ''appears'' to be an aversion [[spoiler: but she's actually adopted and has no memory before the age of 5, and it turns out that her birth parents (the president and a code breaker who can control dolls) are actually alive but for some reason can't see her]]. Yuuki has no parents [[spoiler: and might not actually be human.]] It also appears that [[spoiler: Ogami's mother was murdered by "The One Being Sought" because she was trying to protect Ogami... and ''Sakura''. Additionally, The Prince's parents also had superpowers, and were killed because of it.]]

** Yuuki, on the other hand is one of the most powerful of the Code:Breakers in [[OrganizationIndex EDEN]] due to his control of [[spoiler: sound]]. For some reason, his nonsensical behavior annoys the hell out of the usually lackadaisical Toki [[spoiler:who happens to be Nenene's estranged brother. Naturally, Nenene is easily distracted as Sakura says "This is your brother!" while standing in front of a guy with the same hair and MismatchedEyes as her.]] To his (or his handlers') credit, Yuuki uses his nonsensical ideas ("He's a middle-aged mushroom suffering from depression") to become the chief of a multi-billion dollar toy empire, although all he really wants/needs are [[TheWoobie friends]].

* AttackItsWeakSpot: The Rare Kind are ([[AssPull revealed after 200 chapters with no warning]]), that they have a specific spot on their body that renders them virtually drunk.

* ShoutOut: See above to a certain [[NeonGenesisEvangelion ambiguous angel]], Yuuki's [[Manga/DeathNote stock-watching-pose]], and possibly the [[DeadManWonderland blood-based weapons]] of [[spoiler: Aoba/Revenger's Saint Fighters]]. [[spoiler: Saechika's]] depowered form could be a [[Manga/OnePiece fishman]], though the horns and tail imply a [[WesternZodiac Capricorn]] (or a [[HomeStuck makara]] -- I want to believe!).

** [[spoiler: The Five Angels utterly defeat Sakura's mom, Heike, and the remaining fighters, destroy the underground Diet Building, wreck the "real" Diet Building for good measure, and casually walk out of the rubble like it wasn't anything special.]]

* TrueCompanions: In addition to the current group, [[spoiler: Little Ogami went around asking his new female friends to marry him since marriage = bonded till death, and he didn't want these super-powered girls to be lonely.]]

* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Sakura's parents. Dad is a normal/tallish katana-wielding {{retired badass}} [[IllGirl ill guy]], mom is a tiny MoeBlob who loves costumes. [[spoiler: Oh, and Sakura's adopted, so who knows if they're actually married.]]

* OlderThanTheyLook: [[MoeBlob She]] looks like Sakura's little sister. But wait! That's her mom (although she's a bit more endowed)! [[spoiler: Sakura's biological mom could pass for her big sister, and is ''really'' more endowed.]]

* FauxActionGirl: Sakura eventually turns out to be this.

* DroppedABridgetOnHim: The Prince dropped a Bridget on everyone, although she wasn't specifically trying to hide it.
** [[spoiler: Aoba's Saint Fighters. They must go through a ''ton'' of bandages...]]

* {{Troll}}: [[spoiler: Ogami been insulting Sakura and making her do embarrassing things in public to test her love for him, but backs out at the last second ("If you really love me, do a headstand in this subway car right now. Hey, it's our stop, why'd you tuck your skirt into your panties, idiot?"]]

* {{Flanderization}}: Sakura gets hit with this big time. At first she goes from a no nonsense ActionGirl who can clearly hold her own in a fight even against a power user and does what ever she could to enforce her ThouShaltNotKill belief. Now she has become nothing more than a DamselInDistress, MoralityPet and in worse cases ShallowLoveInterest to Rei. This made worse due to the fact she is supposed to be the main character.

* FlanderIzation: Sakura gets hit with this big time. At first she goes from a no nonsense ActionGirl who can clearly hold her own in a fight even against a power user and does what ever she could to enforce her ThouShaltNotKill belief. Now she has become nothing more than a DamselInDistress, MoralityPet and in worse cases ShallowLoveInterest to Rei. This made worse due to the fact she is supposed to be the main character.

* TheWorfEffect: [[spoiler: The angel nicknamed as "Catboy", suckerpunches Aoba and then starts beating her up.]]

* ActionMom: [[spoiler: Sakura's real mother, and maybe her adopted mother too since the Sakuranojis are apparently gangsters.]]
* AdultChild: Sakura's mother. [[spoiler: Code:Emperor is one literally, as he's too weak to manifest as an adult.]]

** Made even worse with Rare Kinds, where just touching their ear can make them drunk.

* ShootTheDog: Literally what [[AntiHero Ogami]] does right in the first chapter, though replace "Shoot" with "Break the Neck of." The aforementioned dog got mortally wounded trying to protect Sakura from a bunch of gang members, and Ogami, before burning and killing all of the bad guys, goes up to the dog and commends it for its efforts to save Sakura. And then promptly snaps its neck to "help the pain."

** And how are they planning on proving that humans don't care about life? By setting up a voting system where people can chose to either let hardcore violent criminals, which whom they give graphic details of their heinous crimes and were previously on death row, live or die. Because if they choice die that means people will kill others for no reason.

** Now again they release all of the criminals and tell them that if they can flee they can live, then they call them scum to committing crimes so they can escape being killed by them.

* InsaneTrollLogic: Why do the [[GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere Angels]] want to kill countless normal people? Because normal people do not know the value of life, which in turn makes them evil.

* HoYay: [[spoiler: Aoba's Saint Fighters swoon over her.]]

* TrueNeutral: [[spoiler: Sakura's parents stayed out of EDEN's business to ensure that Sakura grew up normally and to preserve peace between power-users and Rare Kinds. It seems that the President's school is filled with such students, not just the moles from EDEN and Re-Code.]]

** HumansKillWantonly: Kidnaps dozens of prisoners who're guilty of terrible things and puts their lives in the hands of 100,000 high school students. The eight votes we see are all yeses due to the fact that 1) they think it's a joke and 2) they were already found guilty for horrible crimes anyway.
