Or they'll scorn the naivete of the recruiter to be so desperate to make [[StrangeBedfellows what will be, at best, a temporary alliance]] between the newly recruited villain. When the Lecture is used against the betrayer, the BigBad will start off by mocking them for joining the wrong side. When they refuses to change sides, they resort to talking about how [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech worthless they are to both sides]]. If that doesn't work, blackmailing will: talking about how they need a certain [[PsychoSerum drug]] to survive will possibly put them back in line. Dead relatives are the best way to coerce them. Afterwards, the BigBad will leave, letting it stew for a while before getting the results.

After years of being trapped on Azeroth, Mannoroth's blood weakened and the Orcs slowly regained their true natures. Circumstances in ''Warcraft III'' brought the Warsong clan, the clan lead by the last of the original Orc chieftains Grom Hellscream, into conflict with the powerful Night Elf demigod Cenarius, an old foe of the Legion who recognized the demonic taint still present in the Orcs and immediately attacked them after they cut down some of his trees. Mannoroth took this opportunity to kill two birds with one stone by pouring his blood into a nearby well. Grom was drawn to the well and drank from it, and encouraged the rest of his clan to do the same. After the newly empowered Warsong butchered Cenarius, Mannoroth approached Grom and told him he and the Warsong belonged to the Legion again. Grom protested this and declared that the Orcs were free. Mannoroth responded with the page quote. Mannoroth does this again in the end cinematic of the Orc campaign, claiming that the "whole, misbegotten race" belongs to him. Mannoroth took this opportunity to kill two birds with one stone by pouring his blood into a nearby well. Grom was drawn to the well and drank from it, and encouraged the rest of his clan to do the same. After the newly empowered Warsong butchered Cenarius, Mannoroth approached Grom and told him he and the Warsong belonged to the Legion again. Grom protested this and declared that the Orcs were free. Mannoroth responded with the page quote. Mannoroth does this again in the end cinematic of the Orc campaign. After knocking out Thrall, he taunts Grom by saying they are the same.
