** Downplayed in ''[[VideoGame/KillerInstinct TJ Combo]] vs. [[{{Franchise/StreetFighter}} Balrog]]''. TJ's theme, ''"I'm Back (To Rise)"'' is playing throughout the whole fight, only cutting out when Balrog knocks TJ out. [[spoiler: The song starts to come back as TJ gets his HeroicSecondWind, and when he's back in the fight in earnest this trope is played straight, the song itself starting with the chorus' TitleDrop, and it doesn't stop this time until TJ lands the fatal blow.]]

* Most bosses in ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'' use a more upbeat remix of their Leitmotif for their boss battle theme, but the biggest of this is the FinalBoss of the [[KillEmAll No Mercy Route]] where their normally relaxing leitmotif is outright ''replaced'' with [[spoiler:MEGALOVANIA.]] Anyone hearing that music plays knows that when said boss warns them that they're going to have a bad time, ''[[SNKBoss it's not just empty boast.]]''
-->'''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8pJAo02rZQ GaLm:]]''' [[OhCrap Oh]] ''[[OhCrap shit]]''. ''This'' music. Oh God. I'm gonna ''[[ThisIsGonnaSuck die]]'' today.

* When ''Manga/{{Fairy Tail}}'s'' "Dragon Slayer" starts playing, expect much ass kicking and property damage to ensue. This theme tends to be reserved for the seriously close fights; for more standard epic beatdowns, they use Natsu's Theme. Don't forget "Fairy Tail Main Theme" and "Dragon Force". Whenever those two play, major ass-kicking is about to ensue. There's also "Fairy Law / Makarov's Theme" for when a character decides to take Magic badassery UpToEleven, usually [[CaptainObvious Makarov]] but also notably [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDQ_zN8ayf0 Gildarts.]][[note]]The music starts at 7:07, but for the full epicness effect start at 6:30.[[/note]]

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TI3LsvusVoE Ballad of revolt]], written by Norwegian composer Harald Sæverud, first performed at the great festival concert right after the end of WorldWarII, in august 1945. This music became an instant hit, because Sæverud had conceived this idea during the German occupation, getting a bit testy when he saw some German barracks on his way home. When this music was performed, the audience boiled over with rage, remembering what they had just been through.

** ''[[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirlsRainbowRocks Rainbow Rocks]]'': During the FinalBattle, when DJ Pon-3 fires the first salvo with her BASS CANNON, followed by cutie-marks sparkles attacks, the music is a TriumphantReprise of the theme for the first movie (specifically, from the moment the ''My Little Pony: Equestria Girls'' title card is shown on screen).

** Similarly, anytime you start to hear Yanmaani (the song's title is "Nowhere") in the background in ''Anime/{{Madlax}}'', the titular character is about to kick serious amounts of ass with inhuman skill. It's so prevalent that TheOtherWiki even mentions it. It is a joke among fans that the word gives Madlax super powers.
