None of the main characters are in relationships, and the only ones who seems to want to be are Brock and later Serena. Ash is a ChickMagnet but is ObliviousToLove. Not even the Pokemon themselves get much romance, despite breeding being a thing in the games and being present in other adaptations like ''Manga/PokemonAdventures'', although there are some exceptions to this, such as Ash's Butterfree and Jessie's Dustox (and even then, we barely get to see their romance).
