** Funny enough, WordOfGod stated that wizards and witches have yet to devise a form of magic that can deflect bullets. The warning given about Sirius Black in ''The Prisoner of Azkaban'' even tries to explain the concept of a gun in ways that a wizard would understand (some magical families spend so much time away from Muggle society that they can't even understand firearms or basic Muggle wardrobe, let alone create anti-gun spells), so it's highly likely that Voldemort could have at least been "killed" (as far as someone with [[SoulJar horcruxes]] can be killed before their destruction) by simply shooting him.
