The finale of Ravenholm in ''VideoGame/HalfLife2'' has a mine cart with spinning blades on it that you can use to decapitate all the zombies nearby. ** ''VideoGame/MarioPartyDS'': A unique variation with the minigame Hanger Management where two teams of characters, instead of driving minecarts to travel across rails, are traveling with cloth hangers across wires placed in a house's yard. In each team, the characters have to use their weight to lean the hanger to one side in order to avoid obstacles (getting hit by them will stop briefly the hanger, making them waste time), or position mutually in the center to gain extra speed. In Duel mode, only two players participate and each of them is riding their own hanger. The first team/duelist who reaches the goal wins, but the minigame ends in a tie if both reach there at the same time or neither manages to do so after five minutes.

They move their vehicles by pumping the levers (which is done by tilting up and down the Wiimote while also pressing A and B at the same time, so it's easier said than done). Whoever reaches the cave's exit first wins. If neither characters gets there after five minutes, the minigame ends in a tie.
*** The minigame Lava Lobbers has two dueling characters shoot cannonballs at each other while driving minecarts in a lava-filled cavern. Each character can move sideways through the rails to dodge the other's attacks. Whoever gets shot three times will lose and render the other player victorious. If both receive the last hit at the same time or neither manages to triumph after 30 seconds, the minigame ends in a tie.

*** The minigame Cosmic Coaster is a futuristic variant. Two teams race through a magnetic rail in outer space by using each a vehicle (shaped like Bowser's shell) whose seats can move left or right without derailing. The players have to move their seats sideways in order to evade the obstacles (namely cardboards showing Bowser's face), as clashing will make them lose speed. The first team to reach the goal wins.
*** In the minigame End of the Line, two dueling characters are driving each a train in the desert. Each character has the goal of guiding their train to the nearest station. In each segment of the railway, there are two tunnels to choose from, and only one of them leads to the next segment; if a player chooses the wrong tunnel, they'll fall onto a chasm (hence the minigame's name), forcing them to restart and waste time. There's a total of three segments, and the correct paths are the same for both players. Whoever reaches the train station first wins, but if both characters arrive there at the same time or five minutes pass before anyone can complete the trip, the minigame ends in a draw.
