* A completely unfunny example of this trope appears to be espoused by quite a few of the now infamous Islamic extremist groups such as Al Quaeda. In their minds, all "western" culture thoroughly despises Islam, "enemies of Islam" are lying about their military strength, the entire western world will fall when they find just the ''right'' attack, and any Muslim who disagrees with them has been corrupted by the western world.

Sometimes the logic is sane but the initial statement is a lie ("I'm an undercover Violet, Violets are cleared for plasma generators, therefore I'm cleared for this plasma generator").
