''SouthOfNowhere'': Rare heterosexual example: Ashley is outspoken about [[BiTheWay "Not believing in labels"]] but is only shown being attracted to girls. And her on and off again boyfriend Aiden. Although he questions her dedication to him: "You only want me around when you want to be straight!" She denies it, conveniently forgetting that she [[IResembleThatRemark still has a picture of her ex-girlfriend on her dresser.]]

* Used to the point of ridiculousness in the otherwise excellent ''Webcomic/Arcana'', where two of [[strike:{{uke}}]] Holden's [[strike:{{seme}}s]] love interests, Sloane and Dominic, both claim to be straight, and his former [[strike:seme]] lover, Vincent, is only gay as a [[OurVampiresAreDifferent side effect of his vampirism]].{{Justified|Trope}} in that Holden was [[spoiler:imbued with a portion of Arcana's power as a child]], the effects of which caused everyone he met to be attracted to him. Also, Vincent didn't turn gay as a result of his vampirism: he was just [[PsychicLink mentally taken over]] by [[DepravedBisexual Adonis]].

* On TheBigBangTheory [[{{Asexual}} Sheldon]] finds relationships to be unnesscarily and, partly due to his germophobia, revolting. However he's okay being more than boy-slash friend with Amy because she's [[DistaffCounterpart amazingly compatible with him]]. And as of season six he has admitted he's become so comfortable with her he may not be opposed to sleeping with her one day.

* The latest season of ''[[NipTuck Nip/Tuck]] features an interesting variation on this trope. Liz Cruz, who up to this point has been a committed lesbian, discovers she's sexually attracted to her male boss Christian (but not any other guys).

** And on a similar note, Karen seems to have the "if it's you it's okay" rule for [[BlondeBrunetteRedhead Grace. And Rosario. And Martina Navratilova]].

Mutt understands what she means but can't seem to let it go. Eventually, he asks if she's even been with a man. She replies no, but implies that she may make an exception for Mutt. A minute later[[spoiler:she's killed in an artillery barrage]].
* In ''{{Literature/PrettyLittleLiars}}'' Emily is rather shocked when she finds herself falling for Isaac, the frontman of a Christian band, when she has only been attracted to girls before (or since).

* In Paul Auster's ''Sunset Park'', Miles Heller's old friend Bing Nathan feels like this with Miles. Unsure about his own sexuality he even tries out sex with another guy, but comes to the conclusion that the male body provides "no comfort" to him. He pushes Miles in the corner of the MemeticSexGod in this citation: "He was not the only one who felt this way. As far back as he can remember, Miles seemed (...) to possess some magnetic, animal force that changed the athmosphere whenever he walked into a room." This is verified by the way the other Sunset Park squatters react to Miles. Off topic trivia question: What is inherently better about this than Twilight? Something of an answer: It's at least not the main point of the novel.

* In Maureen Johnson's ''The Bermudez Triangle'', Avery has a HUGE one of these for Mel, as she is straight. She says something about it being just Mel, and that she was only gay for her because Mel needed someone to help her realize that she was les

* Agent 300 from {{Humon}}'s series ''Webcomic/{{Niels}}'' has two of these. The first one being the titular character Niels (whom he flirts with often and even has erotic dreams about early on). The second one being his current boyfriend, although he denies being a true bisexual considering his love for women, the only meaningful relationship he's been in during the series' run is with agent 250.

* Sweden from AxisPowersHetalia. Sweden actually says this in a scanlated version of the webcomic and it is even stated officially that though Sweden is, in fact, gay, he only acts that way around Finland.
