* Surprisingly averted with Creator/DonBluth who revealed he didn't think much of WesternAnimation/InsideOut, saying that the setup of the emotions feels like it removes all sense of personal responsibility from the world. Every animation-fan in the world then just went "That sure is an opinion a person can have" and went on with their lives. There's been no real outcry at all over this, because he's just that respected among animation fans.

* The late British film critic Leslie Halliwell published many volumes of his capsule film reviews, which were noted for being consistently negative towards modern-day (post-1960) motion pictures, a fact noted by media outlets such as the ''Chicago Tribute''. Ironically, Halliwell's "day job" was buying American TV shows for broadcast on Britain's ITV, including shows such as ''Series/CharliesAngels'' and ''Series/TheATeam''.

* Averted with ''64 Things Wrong With...''. Despite the reviewer panning the greats, it's made perfectly clear throughout each review that they aren't supposed to be taken seriously, and a lot of the viewers found them quite funny.

** In an odd subversion, Owen's review of ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'' (seen [[http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ratatouille/comments.php?reviewid=1640717 here]]). Although Owen gave the 96% Rotten Tomatoes scored movie a modest rating (a "B"), he was mainly insulted from his remark about how celebrity voice actors are superior to ordinary ones. This remark drew ''lots'' of heat, especially since ''Ratatouille'' was released a year after Pixar's arguably weakest film, ''WesternAnimation/{{Cars}}'', a movie ''full'' of celebrity voice actors. His review was later VindicatedByHistory, since Owen gave Pixar's following movies ''WesternAnimation/WallE'' and ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory3'' "A" scores, and since the Pixar fan-base doesn't defend ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'' as heavily years later.

* Amateur YouTube reviewer Quality Control did [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4xf4BKJGcc a negative review]] on ''Interstella 5555''. It was SO poorly received that it's literally '''''[[http://www.youtube.com/user/QualityControlYT/videos the only video on his channel]]''''', and he hasn't done any activity since '''''2010'''''. Part of why it's so hated is the CriticalResearchFailure and lack of good review techniques, as well as the beginning when he says that Daft Punk [[InternetBackdraft is retarded]].

** Inverted for many critics for ''Film/TheLastJedi''. Due to the [[CriticalDissoance massive]] difference between Critics (91%) and audiences (49%), several critics who had praised the film were met with several death threats and insults, for being too lenient on the film. And many were ''worse'' than the flak that ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'' had recieved.
