** His early comedy appearances are often funny because they show him looking like a completely serious actor in an absurd story.

* If I recall correctly HPLovecraft has written a few travelogues, despite usually being considered a recluse who rarely left his home (which isn't true. While he did spend most of his life in Providence and didn't socialise much, he did often travel to meet his friends in other parts of the country).

No {{slapstick}}, no [[AllLoveIsUnrequited bittersweet limerence]], no {{parody}}, just humour centered around a man who robs his many wives of their money, and collects the rest when he kills them. Another way of looking at this film: Did you know OrsonWelles wrote a Chaplin movie?

* Howard Dietz was a songwriter who ofetn worked with Arthur Schwartz, and many of their songs were featured in the JukeboxMusical movie ''TheBandWagon''. But before he started writing songs for musicals, as a Hollywood advertising man he created the world-famous trademark of Leo the Lion. No wonder Dietz revised the lyrics of "Triplets" for the movie ''TheBandWagon'' to include the line "{{MGM}} has got a Leo."

* Misha Collins is know for being an actor, but he also did a stint in politics, set up TheRandomAct charity, published poems, worked as a carpenter and woodworker, and worked in construction. And those are only the jobs...

* HughLaurie, an actor known for his roles on ''{{House}}'' and ''{{A Bit of Fry and Laurie}}'', also wrote [[TheGunSeller a novel which parodies the spy genre]].

** And in the reverse direction, Al Lowe, he of ''LeisureSuitLarry'' fame, started off developing Disney licensed games.

** Jesse "The Body" Ventura, who appeared alongside Arnie in ''{{Predator}}'' is also a bodybuilder-turned-governor.

* J. Michael Straczynski of ''BabylonFive'' was also a writer on ''MurderSheWrote'', as well as the screenwriter for ''{{Changeling}}''.

Four of them being ''PeterAndTheStarcatchers'' books, the other being ''ScienceFair''.
