** ''FinalFantasyIV'' begins with Cecil attacking the village of Mysidia, slaughtering townspeople, and taking their Crystal. When he returns later on, properly contrite, the villagers haven't forgiven him. Unfortunately, Mysidia is the "Village of Magic". He gets polymorphed if he talks to the wrong villagers. (The way the spells work means that talking to them again undoes it.)
