* In ''GhostInTheShell'' Togusa is the youngest and most naive member of Section 9, and the only one who is not a cyborg. Unlike the rest of the team, he's not an ex-special forces member but used to be a regular police officer. He's also the only one who has not yet become completely cynical, but the job is steadily pushing him into that direction as well.

** No mention of the Major? Her attractiveness is ofcourse completely artificial; the exterior of her prosthetic body is made of standard components, meaning that there isn't a speck of individuality in her sexy frame, and people can easily recognise her as a cyborg, but also mistake her for a cheap model.

Aaaaand none of that was in any way an example at all.

* Well, the vast majority female cops are, for the most part, perfectly average looking. In fact, {{Heart}} has never seen a lady cop wearing any makeup whatsoever on the job in their entire life, like they always seem to do on TV and in magazines - despite the fact that I've had many, ''many'' run-ins with them. Probably because there's no point in getting all dolled up for this sort of work since most people ''really'' don't care and it would inevitably end up getting all smeared and messed up anyway. And where I live (Canada), police women ''always'' have their hair tied back in a simple ponytail (those fancy styles that female popo's wear in the land of fiction would never last very long while running around outdoors in any given weather and wrestling with fugitives/suicidal people/whatever). Of course, police work is for tough women who can't really be too concerned about looking like supermodels.
* I should also mention that, although this should be obvious, 99% of the outfits that "hot cops" wear in TV land would be completely inappropriate and impractical for police work in the the real world. Real police uniforms are always unisex - the women wear the exact same outfit as the men, which ''always'' consists of a jacket (which is ''always'' properly buttoned up and usually accompanied by a bulletproof vest) and ''full-length'' pants (shorts would leave the officer's legs more vulnerable being cut and scraped against the ground).
** That depends on which country do you speak of. Yes, I mean [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxana_Fedorova Ms Universe 2002]]. And yes, Russian militia (read: cop) uniform for women includes skirts instead of pants.
** Even in the U.S., it all depends on what department and where the city is. The LAPD does employ bike cops, and they wear bike shorts and light polos. Not only that, but even the regular LAPD uniform seems to be more casual than in other cities, as they don't wear ties anymore, and have done away with hats (for the most part).
*** North Korea, of all places, employs attractive young women as traffic policewomen to direct the ('''very''' sparse) traffic, putting them in skirted uniforms.
**** That can't be good for road safety.

This was shortly revealed to be because she's a ''kissogram'', a mostly defunct profession now supplanted by actual strippers, and she was choosing between Sexy Cop and Sexy Nurse.
