ClosingCredits usually consist of a black screen and white text. The names of the cast and crew scroll slowly up the screen, while some sort of music plays. After the Crowning Moments of SugarWiki/{{Funny|Moments}}, SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming|Moments}}, TearJerker, NightmareFuel, or [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome Awesome]], they're pretty anti-climactic. Most people leave once the credits start, because hey -- Closing Credits can be boring.

[[folder:Films -- Animation]]
* Every Creator/{{Pixar}} movie except the first ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory1'' has unusual ending credits:
** HilariousOuttakes appear in ''WesternAnimation/ABugsLife'', ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory2'' and ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc''. That last one also features a company play based on a throwaway line from earlier. ''Monsters, Inc.'''s '''''opening''''' credits have a 2D effect of monsters wandering through all the doors like they were ScoobyDoobyDoors. They do a ShoutOut to this in the opening of ''WesternAnimation/MonstersUniversity''.
*** Speaking of which, ''Monsters University'' has a WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue where all characters are shown in collectible cards for their "scarer" careers.
** ''WesternAnimation/FindingNemo'''s credits features the characters swimming through and around the credits (including [[TheCameo Mike]] from ''Monsters, Inc.'').
** ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'' has a very stylistic montage recapping the film during its credits, evoking the work of master movie title designer Saul Bass (it's actually a spiffed-up version of the film's early storyboards; originally it was all going to be animated in this style). The various action vignettes surrounding the closing credits are related to the role of the person following each, for example, the Shading Supervisor has a shimmery shadow on the ground.
*** ''WesternAnimation/Incredibles2'' [[CallBack does the same thing]], even going so far as to have the montage start in exactly the same way as that of the first film.
** During the credits of ''WesternAnimation/{{Cars}}'', following a WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue, the cast goes to the movies (drive-in, of course) and we see clips of vehicle versions of previous Pixar movies. For bonus points, Mack (voiced by John Ratzenberger) raves about [[ActorAllusion certain characters]] before realizing they're all voiced [[HypocriticalHumor by the same guy]].
*** ''WesternAnimation/Cars2'' shows 2D animation of Mater and Lightning [=McQueen=] visiting the world.
*** ''WesternAnimation/Cars3'' credits are presented on the wall of Doc's garage, showing photos of [[spoiler:Lightning and Cruz as they enjoy the rest of the racing season together as a team, with her as the racer and him as the crew chief]].
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'' uses stylized hand-drawn animation, similar to ''The Incredibles'', for its end credits. Both were made by Creator/BradBird.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hscu7cc1_2Y The end]] credits of ''WesternAnimation/WallE'', which is pretty much a mini-movie (and rough history of Western Art) after the movie is over, depicting the renewal of Earth. Also serves to make clear that humans survive the recolonization of Earth; some test audiences were concerned that [[HopeSproutsEternal one sprout]] [[InferredHolocaust wasn't enough to prove that they wouldn't die out]]. (The closing shot of the field of plants right before the credits was likewise added for that reason.)
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Up}}'' has the credits in the form of Ellie's scrapbook [[spoiler: that's been added to by [[IntergenerationalFriendship Carl and Russell]]]].
** ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory3'' has a kind of WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue montage during the credits. Suffice it to say that the story simply doesn't end when the credits begin.
*** ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory4'' has another WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue dispersed throughout first few minutes of the credits. It largely focuses on [[spoiler: Woody, Bo, and the other "lost toys" helping other toys at the carnival find new homes]]. The only exception to this is [[spoiler: Forky being warped into a LoveAtFirstSight scenario]].
** ''WesternAnimation/InsideOut'' has glimpses into the minds of a few minor characters, including the Teacher, Jangles the Clown, and a random dog and cat.
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Coco}}'''s end credits are presented as various marigold petals fly past ''papel picado'' banners that show various alebrijes and artifacts shown throughout the movie.
* Even films in the Creator/{{Disney}} animated canon have some:
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Tarzan}}'' has the closing credits appear and scrolling over a nighttime jungle background with a waterfall.
** ''WesternAnimation/BrotherBear'' has clips of Kenai, Koda, and even Rutt and Tuke, which is followed by Music/PhilCollins singing [[AwesomeMusic/{{Disney}} "Look Through My Eyes"]] and [[AwesomeMusic/{{Disney}} "No Way Out" (extended version)]], and then the hilarious Koda proclaiming that no fish were harmed in the making, which is quickly followed by a bear running across the screen, chasing a fish yelling "HE'S GONNA EAT ME!". After Koda covers the screen, the sound of a bear swallowing can be heard. Cue end logos.
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Bolt}}'' has a children's book-looking epilogue with pictures that showed [[spoiler: Bolt, Mittens, and Rhino living happily with Penny on a farm]].
*** At the very end we find the more traditional ClosingCredits run on HamsterWheelPower.
** ''WesternAnimation/ThePrincessAndTheFrog'' has [[http://josephpitt.blogspot.com/2009/12/frog-end-titles.html stylized credits]] similar in tone to later Pixar movies, depicting places from the movie and Tiana and Naveen doing romantic things together (in both amphibian and human form).
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}}'' has stylized credits of various scenes from Rapunzel and Flynn's adventure. They were animated by Shiyoon Kim, and you can check out a few pictures of them [[http://shiyoon.blogspot.com/2010/11/hey-everybody-thanks-for-all-wonderful.html here]].
** ''WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph'' shows pixellated versions of most of the cast, and shows the adventures of the main four characters after the movie, having fun in the fictional games from the movie, and real-life games like ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2'' and ''VideoGame/StreetFighterII''. All while set to Owl City's "[[AwesomeMusic/{{Disney}} When Can I See You Again]]".
** ''[[WesternAnimation/Frozen2013 Frozen]]'' features some absolutely gorgeous looking imagery referencing ice and snow set to a Music/DemiLovato cover of "Let It Go".
*** ''WesternAnimation/FrozenII'' continues this trend by featuring imagery referencing the six spirits and Anna and Elsa's journey throughout the film. The music this time around is a cover of "Into the Unknown" by Music/PanicAtTheDisco.
** ''WesternAnimation/BigHero6'' has {{Animesque}}-stylized credits mentioning some of the further adventures of the eponymous team. With Music/FallOutBoy's "Immortals" to boot!
* ''WesternAnimation/ArloTheAlligatorBoy'': The first part of the end credits are shown as various artifacts and portions of Edmée's swamp shack. The credit crawl itself has various colored pencil animations interspersed, consisting of specific moments from the movie.
* ''WesternAnimation/CloudyWithAChanceOfMeatballs'' has [[http://www.artofthetitle.com/2009/10/26/cloudy-with-a-chance-of-meatballs/ a 2D animated epilogue]] ([[spoiler:Or it would've been had the second movie not taken place instantly after the first]]) that includes {{Shout Out}}s, {{Mythology Gag}}s, and [[EverythingsBetterWithRainbows lots and lots of rainbows]]. The [[WesternAnimation/CloudyWithAChanceOfMeatballs2 sequel]] likewise does this, albeit with different [[ArtShift art styles]].
* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsonsMovie'' includes gags of the family sitting in the theater watching the credits for their own movie.
-->'''Bart:''' Come on, dad, let's go! I've been holding it in since they put the dome on the town!\\
'''Homer:''' A lot of people worked hard on this movie, and all they ask of you is to memorize their names.
:: It would've included Comic Book Guy's scathing critique of the film, but it was rejected in previews. And it also included the deleted Springfield anthem.
* The end credits for ''WesternAnimation/WallaceAndGromit in WesternAnimation/TheCurseOfTheWereRabbit'' feature absolutely ''hilarious'' flying bunnies. Crossing over with CreditsGag, at the very end, the line "No animals were harmed in the making of this motion picture" comes up. The last rabbit rises until he bumps his head on that line and falls squealing off the screen.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Madagascar}}: Escape 2 Africa'' [[http://watchthetitles.com/articles/00106-Madagascar_Escape_2_Africa has]] 3D paper cut-outs of the characters.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Coraline}}'' has the real angel ''and'' Other demonic Scotties flying around the credits, playing with the jumping mice's ball.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Nine}}'' has the credits floating up out of the open Talisman.
* ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'':
** The credits of the first movie roll on yellowish parchment and are accompanied by concept art that also served to inspire the illustrations in the Dragon Manual.
** The credits for the [[WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon2 sequel]] show a series of concept art for the film that is ridiculously beautiful all on its own.
** The [[WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragonTheHiddenWorld third movie]] features a GoodTimesMontage of Hiccup and Toothless together from all three movies. Later, the headings for different sections/departments in the credits are animated with 2D Vikings acting out something related to the section's title (for example, for "modeling", a short animation shows two Vikings chipping away at a block to make a statue).
* ''WesternAnimation/DespicableMe'' has two minions trying to reach towards the screen and play with the effects of 3D while another minion referees. Sadly, the effect was ruined in the DVD and standard Blu-Ray release, seeing as how neither of them have 3D.
* ''WesternAnimation/CatsDontDance'' shows a series of posters for historical and recent (at the time) blockbuster movies, in which the Real-Life actors' images are supplanted by the film's own animal stars.
* Creator/DonBluth is fond of this. ''WesternAnimation/AllDogsGoToHeaven'' has a continuously moving background of painted clouds, ''WesternAnimation/RockADoodle'' has a colorful, abstract background consisting of huge music notes scrolling up, ''WesternAnimation/TheSecretOfNIMH'' frames the credits with delicious illustrations, etc. ''WesternAnimation/TheLandBeforeTime'' showcases the lush Great Valley.
* ''WesternAnimation/LegendOfTheGuardiansTheOwlsOfGaHoole'' has the film's events as a pretty shadow puppet show for closing credits.
* The ending credits of ''Anime/SteamBoy'' take the form of a WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue.
* ''WesternAnimation/ShrekForeverAfter'' had a DancePartyEnding followed by a "collage" of characters from the first three films (minus Artie); the rest of the credits were on Rumple's fancy parchment paper, with inverted versions of the first film's credit illustrations.
* ''WesternAnimation/AlphaAndOmega'' shows concept art and early 3D models of all the characters.
* The credits for ''WesternAnimation/ThePiratesInAnAdventureWithScientists'' start with a DramatisPersonae and WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue. The scrolling section features a background consisting of all the obscure visual gags in the film.
* ''WesternAnimation/CinderellaIIIATwistInTime'' shows a series of paintings depicting the film's characters, including the Grand Duke in a parody of ''The Scream'' and Gus in a parody of ''Blue Boy''.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie'' has credits animated in stop-motion, with the credits written on DYMO labels placed into the environments. [[http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/the-lego-movie/ Watch it here.]]
* ''ComicStrip/{{Peanuts}}'':
** The end credits for ''WesternAnimation/SnoopyComeHome'' are entirely typed up by Snoopy at his typewriter. In addition, instead of listing actors with their roles, the heads of the characters appear with Snoopy typing up the actors' names next to the character he or she plays, with Snoopy and Woodstock's actors' names appearing physically next to them as Snoopy types.
** ''WesternAnimation/RaceForYourLifeCharlieBrown'' has Snoopy, Woodstock and Charlie Brown riding on a motorcycle through a very psychedelic landscape straight out of TheSeventies.
** ''WesternAnimation/ThePeanutsMovie'' has the characters dancing in a similar fashion to their dances in ''WesternAnimation/ACharlieBrownChristmas'' over drawings of themselves from the original comic strip. In addition, the credits also scroll beside various panels from the strip.
* The end credits for ''Film/LooneyTunesBackInAction'' has rough pencil animations of the ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' characters playing out alongside the scrolling credits.
* The credits for ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda'' start with a montage of the characters all tossing around a panda-shaped training dummy to a remix of "Kung Fu Fighting". The rest of it is a series of stills, [[WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue showing what everyone is up to after the events of the movie]]. ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda2'' takes a similar approach, with the first part being a shadow puppet rendition of how Po ended up in the Valley of Peace, and the second part being stills about him growing up.
* The credits for ''WesternAnimation/TheSpongeBobMovieSpongeOutOfWater'' depict stylized versions of the characters in a conga line, with various tiki heads appearing in the background.
* ''WesternAnimation/KuboAndTheTwoStrings'':
** Done in 2D animation, with a bonus showing how the Gashadokuro, the largest stop-motion animated puppet ever, is set up right before it attacks a crew-member.
** At the end, the letters in the Laika production logo turn into silhouettes of various characters from all four of the studio's movies to date. This would later be updated for ''WesternAnimation/MissingLink''.
* Disney's ''Franchise/WinnieThePooh'' features:
** The credits for ''WesternAnimation/TheTiggerMovie'' feature drawings in the style of E.H. Sheppard, who illustrated the original ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' books, retelling the film's plot.
** The credits for ''WesternAnimation/PigletsBigMovie'' features music video with Music/CarlySimon and some kids performing "With a Few Good Friends", interspersed with clips from the movie.
** ''WesternAnimation/PoohsHeffalumpMovie'' has various vignettes of the characters welcoming Lumpy and the Heffalumps into their society. Notably, Christopher Robin appears despite being absent from the rest of the movie.
** ''WesternAnimation/WinnieThePooh2011'' has the live-action dolls from the opening arranged in scenes reenacting the film's plot. It then goes to the animated characters interacting with the scrolling credits (and, in Rabbit's case, getting SquashedFlat by them).
* The first part of the credits of ''WesternAnimation/TheBossBaby'' are presented as a joint pirate fantasy of Tim and the Boss Baby (Theodore) - eventually the Mom comes in and tells them it's time to go to bed, but then agrees to let them play just a little longer, though what we see of the fantasy ends at this point as the credits transition to the less-distracting sort of background typically used for the lengthy scrolling credits.
* ''Music/MariahCarey's All I Want For Christmas Is You'' has a CoverVersion of said song performed by Breanna Yde (the voice of Little Mariah in the movie) during [[spoiler: a montage where she and her family and friends look for her missing dog]]; the first half of the end credits scroll next to the entire music video for the original song. Unsurprisingly.
* The first part of the closing credits of ''WesternAnimation/QuestForCamelot'' fading in and out over different angle shots of a 3D model of the Stonehenge-type circle of stones and the certain magic stone - where Excalibur came from - before the standard scrolling credits. There are also each shot of a differently shaped stone with an engraved drawing of each character as the credits of the voice actors and animators of the characters are being shown.
* The end credits of the third ''Animation/PleasantGoatAndBigBigWolf'' movie, ''Moon Castle: The Space Adventure'', scroll from right to left and take place in space, where the candy spaceship piloted by the goats dodges various obstacles. The ship and obstacles are also both depicted as 8-bit sprites.
* The credits for ''WesternAnimation/{{Uglydolls}}'' contains fan creations from the [[VirtualPaperDoll Uglydolls Factory]] game.
* ''WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerbTheMovieCandaceAgainstTheUniverse'' features such credits in the form of silhouettes recaping the film, complete with [[https://youtu.be/2sst0min-50 a song]] that hangs one massive lampshade on it.

* Nickelodeon uses this concept to announce winners at the Kids' Choice Awards: Names on T shirts, faces on banners, stickers, etc. Sadly this became phased out in 2013 in favor of the more conventional "winner's name placed on a glossy envelope" that all other shows have (except that it's partly covered in the channel's trademark slime).

* ''Series/TheFastShow'' would interrupt the end credits with random sketches that
were even more brief than usual, often one-offs starring non-recurring characters. In some cases the end credits became totally different, such as when the two Off-Roaders went 'Over the top' when playing paintball and were frozen in dramatic freeze frame as in ''Film/ButchCassidyAndTheSundanceKid'' and the finale of ''Series/{{Blackadder}} Goes Forth''.
* ''Series/{{Frasier}}'': A BrickJoke is usually resolved in the closing credits.
* The ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' episode "The Puppet Show" plays the credits over the Scooby Gang performing on the school talent show in a hilariously poor execution of ''Theatre/OedipusRex''.
* At the end of the Creator/AnimalPlanet documentary ''African Cats'', accurate credits scroll up the right side of the screen. an unusual way or while something unusual was happening. Such as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt2LENrfoN4 this one]] in with Wayne Brady reading the credits begin.
*** ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory4'' has another WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue dispersed throughout first few minutes
while Ryan Stiles and Jeff Davis held his arms and Colin Mochrie tickled his butt. The applause and laughter were so loud and continuous that it's hard to tell if he even got one name out.
* ''Series/TheMandalorian'' credits are played over beautiful concept art
of scenes featured in the credits. It largely focuses on [[spoiler: Woody, Bo, and the other "lost toys" helping other toys at the carnival find new homes]]. The only exception to this is [[spoiler: Forky being warped into a LoveAtFirstSight scenario]].
** ''WesternAnimation/InsideOut'' has glimpses into the minds of a few minor characters, including the Teacher, Jangles the Clown, and a random dog and cat.
episode.
* ''Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse''
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Coco}}'''s end credits are presented as various marigold petals fly past ''papel picado'' banners that show various alebrijes and artifacts shown throughout the movie.
* Even films
''Series/WandaVision'', in the Creator/{{Disney}} animated canon have some:
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Madagascar}}: Escape 2 Africa'' [[http://watchthetitles.com/articles/00106-Madagascar_Escape_2_Africa has]] 3D paper cut-outs of the characters.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Coraline}}'' has the real angel ''and'' Other demonic Scotties flying around the credits, playing
keeping with the jumping mice's ball.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Nine}}'' has the credits floating up out of the open Talisman.
* ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'':
** The [[WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragonTheHiddenWorld third movie]]
"classic TV sitcom" motif, features a GoodTimesMontage of Hiccup and Toothless together from all three movies. Later, the headings for different sections/departments in the credits are animated with 2D Vikings acting out something related to the section's title (for example, for "modeling", a short animation shows two Vikings chipping away at a block to make a statue).
* ''WesternAnimation/DespicableMe'' has two minions trying to reach towards the screen
sequence of red, green, and play with the effects of 3D while another minion referees.
* ''ComicStrip/{{Peanuts}}'':
** ''WesternAnimation/ThePeanutsMovie'' has the characters dancing in a similar fashion to their dances in ''WesternAnimation/ACharlieBrownChristmas'' over drawings of
blue subpixels (technically phosphor dots) arranging themselves from to look like different locations in Westview or items like the original comic strip. In addition, costumes of the Scarlet Witch and Vision.
** ''Series/TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier'':
*** In Marvel tradition. The
credits also scroll beside various panels from over walls or shutters covered in broken propaganda posters and graffiti with American iconography. The credits listing themselves first appear as classified documentation which is overwritten by the strip.
*
actual credits, similar to the opening credits for ''Film/Godzilla2014'').
*** Taken a step further with the main cast section of the credits, in which, similar to ''Series/WandaVision'', each episode has only the names of any actors whose characters appear in that episode appear during the corresponding section (i.e. Creator/EmilyVanCamp not being credited until Episode 3 onwards despite her character's picture appearing after those of Creator/AnthonyMackie and Creator/SebastianStan's characters), while Mackie and Stan alternate top billing between episodes.
** ''Series/{{Loki|2021}}'':
The show's end credits for ''Film/LooneyTunesBackInAction'' has rough pencil animations of show different things within the ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' characters playing TVA, such as their propaganda, equipment and case files. When each text of credits appear, they are briefly shown out of order and sometimes have its letters flipped or enlarged, before reasserting itself back to normal. The TVA logo is also included alongside it, often as an outline. Certain changes can be seen in the scrolling credits.
*
end credits sequence between episodes; specifically, the productivity posters in a locker during the "Costume Design" credit, and the mugshots for the "Casting" credit.
***
The credits for ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda'' start with a montage Episode 3-5 doesn't have the distorted text effects; they fade in and out normally.
*** Like ''Series/WandaVision'' and ''Series/TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier'', the section showing the show's starring cast only shows the names
of the actors whose characters all tossing around a panda-shaped training dummy to a remix of "Kung Fu Fighting". The rest of it is a series of stills, [[WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue showing what everyone is up to after appeared in that episode and like in the events of latter, the movie]]. ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda2'' takes a similar approach, names only show in the respective sections (i.e. Creator/SophiaDiMartino's credit being shown in the section with the first part being a shadow puppet rendition of how Po ended up water cooler in the Valley of Peace, and from the second part being stills about him growing up.
* The credits for ''WesternAnimation/TheSpongeBobMovieSpongeOutOfWater'' depict stylized versions of the characters in a conga line,
episode onwards).
** Downplayed
with various tiki heads appearing in the background.
* ''WesternAnimation/KuboAndTheTwoStrings'':
* Disney's ''Franchise/WinnieThePooh'' features:
* The first part of the credits of ''WesternAnimation/TheBossBaby'' are presented as a joint pirate fantasy of Tim and the Boss Baby (Theodore) - eventually the Mom comes in and tells them it's time to go to bed, but then agrees to let them play just a little longer, though what we see of the fantasy ends at this point as the credits transition to the less-distracting sort of background typically
''Series/WhatIf'', which simply shows concept art used for the lengthy scrolling credits.
* ''Music/MariahCarey's All I Want For Christmas Is You''
preceding episode’s events.
** ''Series/Hawkeye''
has a CoverVersion of said song performed by Breanna Yde (the voice of Little Mariah in the movie) during [[spoiler: a montage where she and her family and friends look for her missing dog]]; the first half of the end credits scroll next blocky, simply colored animations meant to the entire music video for the original song. Unsurprisingly.
*
evoke David Aja’s artwork.
** ''Series/MoonKnight2022'':
The first part of the closing credits of ''WesternAnimation/QuestForCamelot'' fading in and out over different angle shots of a 3D model of the Stonehenge-type circle of stones and the certain magic stone - where Excalibur came from - before the standard scrolling credits. There are also each shot a montage of a differently shaped stone with an engraved drawing of each character as the credits of the voice actors and animators of the characters are being shown.
* The credits for ''WesternAnimation/{{Uglydolls}}'' contains fan creations
people/locations/items from the [[VirtualPaperDoll Uglydolls Factory]] game.
* ''WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerbTheMovieCandaceAgainstTheUniverse'' features such credits
show all covered in the form of silhouettes recaping the film, complete with [[https://youtu.be/2sst0min-50 a song]] that hangs one massive lampshade on it.moonlight.

[[folder:Films -- Live-Action]]
* The credits for ''Film/ALittleBitZombie'' are played over a photo montage of Steve and Tina's wedding, showing them exchanging vows, partying in the reception (including a dance Tina was dead set on doing), and Tina dragging Steve into a closet to touch him up and hide his condition.
* ''Film/TheAdventuresOfRockyAndBullwinkle'' has closing credits that begin with Boris, Natasha and Fearless Leader chasing (and being foiled by) Rocky and Bullwinkle over, through and around the credits lettering. It can be seen [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3t97msMn0s here]].
* ''Film/AroundTheWorldInEightyDays1956'': One of the earliest of its kind, it was set up as a miniature sequence that duplicated Fogg's adventure, using a speicific caricature to represent a cast/crew member (David Niven as a watch, Jules Verne as an angel with a novel, etc). It can be seen [[https://www.artofthetitle.com/title/around-the-world-in-eighty-days/ here]].
* ''Film/SecondhandLions'', in a [[BookEnds bookend]] style.
* ''Film/LastHoliday'' did the WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue.
* ''Film/HarryPotter'':
** ''Film/HarryPotterAndThePrisonerOfAzkaban'' did its credits in the style of the Marauder's Map.
** ''Film/HarryPotterAndTheGobletOfFire'' had the credits as smoldering bits of paper coming out of the titular goblet.
** ''Film/HarryPotterAndTheOrderOfThePhoenix'' uses the same formatting style as that of Harry's letters from the Ministry of Magic.
** ''Film/HarryPotterAndTheHalfBloodPrince'' has swirling black ink drops in amber liquid. (reproducing how wizards apparate, the effects added to the Pensieve, and such).
** ''Film/FantasticBeastsTheCrimesOfGrindelwald'': Memorable scenes from the film are depicted in multicoloured smoke, created by [[spoiler:Grindelwald's blood pact phylactery]]. [[JuxtaposedHalvesShot Juxtaposed halves shots]] for the main characters occur during the actors' names, to highlight relationships both romantic and antagonistic.
* ''Film/ASeriesOfUnfortunateEvents'' [[http://watchthetitles.com/articles/0019-Lemony_Snicket_s_A_Series_of_Unfortunate_Events features]] a very stylish animated sequence of the Baudelaire children being chased by Count Olaf.
* ''[[Film/BillAndTed Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey]]'': We learn the rest of the story during the credits, in a WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue.
* ''Film/TheBoondockSaints'': They show "RealLife" [[VoxPops man on the street]] interviews about the eponymous Saints during the end credits.
* ''Film/TheLordOfTheRingsTheReturnOfTheKing'' ended with brilliant sketch artwork of the principal characters, scenery, and various props. Creator/PeterJackson stated that he used regular black-screen credits for the first two films because he wanted to save the special credits for the ''real'' ending.
* Repeated with ''Film/TheHobbitTheBattleOfTheFiveArmies'', with the film's credits sequencing in from the last shot of Thror's Map. Not only are the actors' names showed along their character portraits, but the names of the principal production staff are accompanied by something relevant to their role and the rolling credits are displayed above scenes that chronologically depict Bilbo's entire journey.
* ''Film/TheCannonballRun'' pretty well started the HilariousOuttakes form of credits sequence, and most Creator/BurtReynolds movies had outtakes playing over the end credits.
** ''Film/AnchormanTheLegendOfRonBurgundy'' featured outtakes in its end credits, including one from a Burt Reynolds movie.
** Creator/JackieChan borrowed that after he was in ''Film/TheCannonballRun'', so lots of his movies have outtake credits as well.
* The 1956 version of ''Film/AroundTheWorldInEightyDays1956'' has a six-minute animated recap of the entire movie, designed by Creator/SaulBass.
* ''Film/SpiceWorld'' has a scene of the various actors complaining about their roles under the credits.
-->'''WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick''': "We know the movie was Spice Crap! We did that on purpose!"
* ''Film/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' has all sorts of short vignettes during the credits.
* In ''Film/{{Deathstalker}} 2'', the end credits include HilariousOuttakes.
* At the end of ''Film/SesameStreetPresentsFollowThatBird'', the Count insists on counting all the people who worked on the movie. He counts about 5 or 6 before leaving... [[spoiler:and shows up again [[TheStinger immediately after the last credits scroll up]], proclaiming the grand total as "278 incredible, colossal credits! HAHAHAHAAA! I LOVE MOTION PICTURES!!!!"]]
* ''Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000: TheMovie'' has Mike and the bots go back into the theater to riff on their own credits.
-->'''Crow:''' "Puppet wranglers"? There weren't any puppets in this movie!\\
'''Tom Servo:''' Eastman! He came out of the east to do battle with ''[[RunningGag The Amazing RANDO!]]''
* The DancePartyEnding during the end credits of ''Film/SlumdogMillionaire''.
* ''Film/TheNakedGun'', along with the standard listing of cast crew, included jokes such as "so-an-so's ex-wife=Jane Doe", and also credited ''everyone'' with a role, usually identifying them via the line that they spoke.
** One of the directors for the above did ''Film/HotShots'', which had sufficiently long credits, over a montage of many of the visual gags in the film. The credits also contain trivia, recipes, and end with "If you had left the theatre when these credits started, you'd be home by now."
** The writer for the third ''Naked Gun'' followed the gag credits formula in ''Film/WrongfullyAccused'', which even featured "These people were not important for the movie" followed by fastly scrolling names.
* While it pales in comparison to most of these examples, ''Film/Se7en'' has odd credits that scroll down (this was to add to the already horrific ending), looking as though they were written with a faulty typewriter, and has many visual aberrations such as color inversion.
* ''Film/{{Drumline}}'' had twisting, curving credits along with diagrams from the drummers' manual.
* ''Film/ShootEmUp'' had some extremely stylized credits - for example, a drop of blood color-shifts into a drop of milk, which becomes Monica Bellucci's character's breasts.
* ''Film/ThreeHundred'' had [[http://www.artofthetitle.com/2008/03/17/300/ stylized credits]] that evoked scenes from the movie, and its sequel followed suit.
* ''Film/TheMummyTrilogy'':
** ''Film/TheMummy1999'' and ''Film/TheMummyReturns'': the camera is pulled down CGI passage ways while hieroglyphics morph around and into the credits.
** ''Film/TheMummyTombOfTheDragonEmperor'' had [[http://watchthetitles.com/articles/0034-The_Mummy_III_Tomb_of_the_Dragon_Emperor stylized credits]] that looked like a cross between ''Film/ThreeHundred'' and ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda''.
* ''Film/AliceInWonderland2010'' had a very pretty scene for the cast list and Music/AvrilLavigne's song that showed the clouds shifting, mushrooms growing (and glowing) and the bare GothSpirals branches blooming to show that [[spoiler: Underland is healing after the Red Queen's defeat]]. In the 3D version, this is windowboxed, with the growing fauna spilling out onto the blank areas of the screen, giving the impression that the screen is a window to Underland. Can be seen [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHi1gifyLdU here]].
* ''Film/MoulinRouge'''s credits were printed onto paper and rolled in front of a camera. The credits list is so long it required two sheets of paper to fit everyone in. There's a [[StylisticSuck deliberately accentuated]] black line where the sheets connect.
* ''Film/KillBillVol2''s credits aren't all that unusual, it's just that there's [[EndingFatigue so many of them]]: the opening credits, the end credits that show clips of everyone with a speaking part from both films, the crossing out of the Death List Five [[spoiler: except Elle, who gets a [[SequelHook ?]]]], plus the credits from the first film.
* The ''Film/DawnOfTheDead2004'' remake's end credits starts with clips from the rich jerkass's video camera (which appears to be a parody of Paris Hilton's infamous sex tape), then shows the survivors landing on an isolated island.
* Closing credits of ''Film/MarriedToTheMob'' show various (non-hilarious) outtakes.
* ''Film/WestSideStory1961'' had most of the credits as graffiti -- writing on walls, doors, dusty windows, and street signs. These literal WallsOfText were arranged by Creator/SaulBass, who celebrated his engagement to Elaine Makatura by drawing their initials together.
* ''Film/ShallowHal'' and ''Film/StuckOnYou'' (both by the Farrelly Bros.) had short video clips of ''[[ShownTheirWork every single person who worked on the film]]''.
* The ending credits to ''Film/TheresSomethingAboutMary'' feature the entire cast, including extras, doing a music video for The Foundations' "Build Me Up Buttercup."
* Both ''Film/NeverBeenKissed'' and ''Film/ILoveYouBethCooper'' featured high school-era photos of the stars, director, writers, producers and other crew members. Which in the case of the latter made for an amusing contrast between Creator/HaydenPanettiere and Paul Rust.
* Likewise, the credits for ''Film/NineMonths'' opened with baby pictures of the principal cast.
* The credits for ''Film/{{Enchanted}}'' featured animated silhouettes with a "woodblock printed paper" background.
* ''Theatre/{{Dreamgirls}}'' not only had clips from the movie but sketches of the costumes and sets for their respective credits.
* The first ''Film/AustinPowers'' continued the groovin' '60s vibe with a "Blow-Up"-style photo shoot with Austin and Vanessa, and then a full musical number with Austin's band featuring Matthew Sweet and Suzanna Hoffs.
** The second one plays various scenes during the credits.
* The 1968 mess of a counterculture comedy ''Film/{{Skidoo}}'' has all the closing credits ''sung'' by Music/HarryNilsson, including the ''legal disclaimers''. ("Copyright M-C-M-L-X-V-I-I-I by Sigma Productions Incorporated - your seat's on fire.").
* The closing credits of ''Film/LethalWeapon4'' show a pin board holding photos from all previous movies, including mostly behind the scenes photos, with "Why Can't We Be Friends" playing in the background, giving the whole series a warm, family like, closure. The final shot was of literal closure, of a photo album labeled "Lethal Weapon".
* ''Film/SherlockHolmes2009'':
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKIUHpyRk1I Images from the film are rendered as Victorian era-esque pencil illustrations.]] Much like the kind you might find in the occasional novel, including the [[Literature/SherlockHolmes original stories]] (illustrated by Sidney Paget). Art of the Title did an interview with Danny Yount about the sequence [[http://www.artofthetitle.com/2010/01/21/sherlock-holmes/ here]].
** ''Film/SherlockHolmesAGameOfShadows'' also has the actual text from "The Final Problem" (the story that the film is loosely based on) appearing around the illustrations and credits themselves.
* ''Film/SchoolOfRock'' has the end credits roll over the closing scene of the kids playing Music/{{ACDC}}. Halfway into the song Creator/JackBlack suddenly begins [[BreakingTheFourthWall singing about the credits]], and pointing to random names in the credits and saying things like, "I don't know that guy."
** "Movie's almost over! But we're still onscreen! Everybody's rockin', yeah we came from Horace Green!"
* The closing credits of ''Film/RepoMan'' scroll ''downwards'' across the screen, not upwards, possibly inspiring those of ''Film/Se7en''. ''Film/{{Stoker}}'' (2013), ''Film/CherryFalls'' (1999), ''Film/BirdOnAWire'' (1990) and ''Film/StickyFingers'' (1988) have the credits scrolling down as well, but the last named also has them tilting left and right as they scroll before finally tipping over and falling out of frame at the end!
* ''Film/TheOtherGuys'' features economic facts with the credits not rolling, but instead positioned in specific parts.
* The director of the above, Creator/AdamMckay, had in ''Film/{{Vice}}'' the credits besides [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkYUkvpW8XM fishing flies with artwork related to the Dick Cheney and the Bush administration]].
* Interspersed within the credits of ''Film/WildThings'' are a series of short scenes that tie the rest of the movie together, including a final one that [[spoiler: ties Creator/BillMurray's character with Neve Campbell's]].
* ''Film/BigMoneyHustlas'' has the closing credits play over a gunfight that happens in a funeral, with [[UnexplainedRecovery unexpected revivals of people who died]]! ''Film/BigMoneyRustlas'' has a similar ending, this time set in a saloon.
* The entire end credits sequence for ''Film/{{Tapeheads}}'' is a {{callback}} to the first video the main characters did (a commercial for Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles) with Roscoe rapping about what happened to the boys, and how his chain has grown, among other things.
* Some consider the ending credits for ''Film/{{Robin Hood|2010}}'' (with Creator/RussellCrowe) the best part of the entire film-- not because the film was terrible, but because the credits are so awesome.
* A tradition in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse, the films that don't follow the standard credit form (only ''Film/{{The Incredible Hulk|2008}}'', ''Film/IronMan2'', ''Film/{{Guardians of the Galaxy|2014}}'' and ''Film/{{Black Widow|2021}}''[[note]]Though ''Black Widow'' makes up for it with a stylish opening credits sequence[[/note]] do) have {{Artistic Title}}s instead:
** ''Film/IronMan1'' smash-cuts to the credits right after Tony Stark says "I am Iron Man." The end credits song, is, of course, "Iron Man" by Music/BlackSabbath. It plays while the credits zoom in and out of blueprint-style graphics showing the schematics for the Film/IronMan armor and other devices from the film.
*** ''Film/IronMan3'' smash-cuts to the credits right after Tony Stark says "I am Iron Man." This time, however, the end credits song, "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrMPMTVOz8M Can You Dig It]]" is a [[InTheStyleOf '70s style]] action-series theme, complete with strings, bongo beats, horns, organs and tambourines. It plays to a glorious '70s style action series introduction; a SplitScreen montage of shots from throughout the ''Iron Man'' film series.
** ''Film/{{Thor}}'''s end credits feature a visual representation of how Norse mythology saw the cosmos, ending with a trip up the trunk of Ygdrasil (the world tree) to Asgard.
*** ''Film/ThorTheDarkWorld'' has credits that show oil paintings of stills from the film, highlighted by only one vibrant color. For instance, most of the stills featuring Thor only have his red cape colored, while shots with Loki have green.
*** ''Film/ThorRagnarok'' features several [[Creator/JackKirby Kirby-esque]] silhouettes of characters and key scenes from the film.
** The end credits for ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheFirstAvenger'' are set against various 1940s propaganda posters, befitting the tone of the movie.
*** ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'' does its credits in a traditional, spy-thriller graphics montage, reflecting the tone of the movie.
*** ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'' has a mix of light and shadow forming the symbols of different characters on a cracked granite surface, representing the division between the heroes.
** ''Film/{{The Avengers|2012}}'' has its credits set against various icons and gear associated with each Avenger (ComicBook/CaptainAmerica's shield and uniform, Comicbook/IronMan's armor, [[ComicBook/TheMightyThor Thor's]] hammer, etc.).
*** ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron'' has the credits pan by a statue of the Avengers battling Ultron bots. Once it gets to the actors, the names of the ones playing the Avengers and Ultron are used in a VideoCredits-like manner.
*** '''Averted''' with ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar''. The end credits do not have any amazing art or animation per the norm for other [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse MCU]] films: instead, it's nothing more than white text in a plain font simply appearing and disappearing on a black screen, [[SolemnEndingTheme all while a mostly quiet, somber orchestra plays]]. [[spoiler:It hammers home the DownerEnding vibe - the only different effect, the title scattering like dust, even alludes to what happens in the film's conclusion.]]
*** ''Film/AvengersEndgame'' has traditional VideoCredits (though the use of an UnrevealAngle on most of the characters is an extra trick), they do get creative at least in billing: the original six Avengers are the last to appear (in reverse order, from Jeremy Renner to Robert Downey Jr.), and with their autographs alongside the names.
** ''Film/AntMan1'' has animated graphics that go from an AstronomicZoom to the subatomic scale.
*** ''Film/AntManAndTheWasp'' replays key scenes from the film... as plastic toy dioramas with characters replaced by miniatures and cars with Hot Wheels toys, as a repeated element is valuables such as buildings, cars and superhero suits shrunk to the size of toys and re-grown on demand.
** ''Film/{{Doctor Strange|2016}}'' has kaleidoscopic graphics full of mandalas and other spiritual symbols.
** ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2'' basically has an 80's-style album back for credits, complete with defaced pictures and re-written titles. And all the characters dancing. Broken up with '''five''' [[TheStinger stingers]].
** ''Film/SpiderManHomecoming'' shows Spider-Man's various superhero acts in collage-style LimitedAnimation, set to Music/TheRamones' "Blitzkrieg Bop".
*** This is continued with ''Film/SpiderManFarFromHome'', with Music/TheGoGos' "Vacation" being the chosen song.
*** As for ''Film/SpiderManNoWayHome'', the credits are shown in notebook sketches like in ''Homecoming'' with AlienGeometries such as the Penrose Triangle, while Music/DeLaSoul's "The Magic Number" plays.
** ''Film/{{Black Panther|2018}}'' showcases the "smart sand" technology used throughout the movie (most notably the OpeningMonologue), this time showing silhouettes of the characters and the Panther/Jaguar habits, as well as various locations and scenes from the film against a glowing background that changes color based on the character shown.
** ''Film/{{Captain Marvel|2019}}'' has the shiny trail Carol does as she flies eventually lighting up images similar to those that appear when the Skrulls are going through her memories.
** ''Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings'' takes inspiration from one scene in the form of flowing water reshaping itself in the form of various scenes and characters from the movie. (it also marks the first time since ''Doctor Strange'' where the artistic credits don't include [[VideoCredits visual representations of the characters next to the actors]])[[note]]''Guardians Vol. 2'' doesn't count as the film had opening credits to roll out the cast[[/note]]
** ''Film/{{Eternals}}'', being about AncientAstronauts who influenced mankind's development, has ancient art reminiscent of the cast of characters, at times enhanced by the TronLines worn by the Eternals.
* ''Franchise/TheMatrix'' film series had the credits appearing from a line of Matrix code running horizontally across the screen, leaving the credit line(s).
* The ''Film/{{Doom}}'' movie had the credits in the same vein as it's first-person segment, complete with the names getting shot and killed. [[spoiler: The only names to not get shot are those of the actors that played characters that survive, or of the backstage staff. Wrestling/TheRock gets particularly shot up, as he's the film's equivalent of a FinalBoss]]
* ''Film/TropicThunder'', [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWBEHzi3wgc alternates]] between Creator/TomCruise in a fat suit dancing to rap with scenes from the movie which get stylized "splash pages" for actors and the such.
* ''Film/TheChroniclesOfNarnia: Film/TheVoyageOfTheDawnTreader'' recaps the film using the original book illustrations by Pauline Baynes.
* ''Film/SupermanIII'' and ''Film/{{Supergirl}}'' had most of their closing credits coming towards the camera in a staircase manner.
* ''Film/ShortCircuit'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IHDCmDLxfE finishes with a recap of the entire story]] (including a few deleted scenes that don't appear in the movie proper).
* The end credits for ''Film/YoungSherlockHolmes'' are accompanied by a sleigh-ride across snowy countryside [[spoiler: supposedly carrying Holmes after he's taken his (temporary) leave of Watson but which, at the '''very''' end, proves to have been taken by Sherlock's thought-to-be-dead archenemy Rathe, alias Moriarty]].
* The German comedy ''Men...'' has the end credits rolling in front of parallel elevators on which the cast and crew are riding, coming into shot with their credit and moving up or down.
* Finnish comedy skit film ''Kummeli Stories'' shows a message "Don't leave yet, there will be a show of boobies after the credits!" intermittent with the cast andA crew names. Once they've rolled however, a character from the film walks onto the screen, looks directly at the audience and states: "[[ShmuckBait Look, a bunch of pervs still hanging about!]] Nobody's showing boobies here today! Shoo, go home!"
* The end credits of ''Film/SnakeEyes'' roll over a busy construction site, presumably the site of a new casino to replace the one that was destroyed at the climax of the film. The camera closes in further and further until it focuses on one construction worker leaning against a pillar. [[spoiler: Once he leaves, it turns out his hand was blocking a red jewel embedded in the concrete. The jewel was part of a ring that belonged to minor character Serena, who had been killed by BigBad Kevin Dunne, then thrown into a cement mixer]].
* Horror comedy ''Film/WaxworkIILostInTime'' has the credits roll over a music video for the rap title theme tune "Lost In Time". As well as displaying [[VideoFullOfFilmClips clips from the movie]] and behind the scenes moments, the video also features the cast dancing around in the various sets used throughout the film.
* ''Film/KnockedUp'''s end credits featured baby pictures of the cast and crew.
* Going hand-in-hand with [[DownerEnding the film's ending]], the first part of the end credits for ''Film/RiseOfThePlanetOfTheApes'' roll over [[spoiler:an animation of international patterns spreading the ALZ-113 virus across the globe]].
* ''The Raven'''s end credits are rather creative, with a sort of raven made of blades.
* ''Film/TheFourthKind'''s end credits are accompanied not by music but by (supposedly) real phone calls made by people who've encountered aliens, with the time and date of each call appearing on screen.
* Alongside the end credits for ''Honey'' we see the first major music video to be choreographed (in-universe) by the title character, Blaque's "I'm Good." It is also the first music video in history to give the choreographer on-screen credit along with the singer and song title.
* ''Film/Gremlins2TheNewBatch'' appears at first to have fairly standard closing credits, except that WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck periodically shows up out of nowhere to make snarky comments at the audience ("You're still hanging around? Don't you people have homes?") This is especially random since the movie itself had nothing to do with Daffy or the Looney Tunes. The credits themselves are followed by another CallBack to the beginning of the film where Bugs and Daffy argue about who gets to ride out on the Creator/WarnerBros shield; this time Porky Pig is about to say "That's all, folks!" when Daffy pushes him out of shot and does it himself -- at which time the shield slams shut on (most of) him to reveal [[Creator/ChuckJones who wrote and directed the animated open and close]] ("...fade out!"). Just as random, but at least it ties together.
* ''Film/SuckerPunch'', for its end-credit nightclub duet between Blue and Dr. Gorski.
* Gus Van Sant's remake of ''Film/{{Psycho|1998}}'' had [[spoiler: the cars Norman sunk in the swamp being brought up by investigators]] in real time as the credits rolled. Van Sant also added a "flying through the clouds/POV of God" opening that Hitchcock wanted to do but didn't have the budget and/or technology or access to the Air Force like Leni Riefenstahl did.
* Van Sant used to do something like this regularly on his films, such as the basketball game being played behind the credits for ''Film/FindingForrester'' and Janice skating over the frozen lake [[spoiler: where the late Suzanne is interred]] throughout the end credits of ''Film/ToDieFor''.
* The ending credits of ''Film/DownWithLove'' include an extra scene with Renee & Ewan singing a duet and one with David Hyde Pierce and Sarah Paulson.
* ''Film/StarTrek2009'', ''Film/StarTrekIntoDarkness'' and ''Film/StarTrekBeyond'' have their end credits zip by an array of planets, either shattered, on the verge of shattering, or primordial, as well as a few stars, to show off the main cast and crew names (the last one also had a [[Recap/StarTrekS2E2WhoMournsForAdonais a giant space hand]] mentioned in the movie as an MythologyGag). The earlier ''Franchise/StarTrek'' movies stuck with basic crawls on either plain black or starfield backgrounds, except for ''Film/StarTrekIVTheVoyageHome'', which ran the crawl over a mix of stills and clips (mostly clips) from the film.
** As the final film to include the entire original main cast, ''Film/StarTrekVITheUndiscoveredCountry'' followed Kirk's final CaptainsLog entry with the signatures of the cast written one-by-one on screen, as if they were signing the log themselves, before the crawl.
* ''Film/TheInternship'', a comedy about a Google internship, closes with the names and titles appearing as if they're part of various Google products, like Google Translate, Google+, and such.
* ''Film/{{Help}}'': During the end credits, a many-faceted gem filters the cast members into multiple images as they file past - on the soundtrack "The Barber of Seville" overture plays as Music/TheBeatles hum, laugh, and talk over it.
* ''Film/RequiemForADream'''s end credits are a more understated example, almost certainly due to the subject matter, but still pretty creative. The credits are staggered and scattered across the screen, and interspersed with black-and-white "woodblock" images of Coney Island rides and roller coasters. The audio consists of [[SilentCredits very faint seaside and carnival sounds.]]
* The end credits for ''Film/HotelForDogs'' feature the canine companions of many members of the cast (including star Creator/EmmaRoberts) and crew.
* Some prints of ''Film/ApocalypseNow'' have the end credits roll over footage of Kurtz's compound being destroyed. Interestingly, the footage isn't actually part of the story - they had to destroy the set after filming wrapped. When the director realized that audiences thought the footage depicted the air strike mentioned in the film, he removed it. Most copies of the film have plain white-on-black credits instead.
* The closing credits of ''[[WebVideo/AngryVideoGameNerd Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie]]'' feature [[spoiler:the Nerd's long-awaited review of [[VideoGame/ETTheExtraterrestrial E.T.]] (or [[BlandNameProduct "Eee Tee"]], as it's spelled in-universe).]]
* ''Film/XMenFilmSeries''
** ''Film/XMenFirstClass'', appropriate to its '60s setting, has Saul Bass and the Film/JamesBond-inspired geometric animations representing genetics concepts.
** ''Film/TheWolverine'' is a lesser one -- it's set in Japan, and thus the credits have accompanying Japanese art and ideograms.
** ''Film/{{Deadpool|2016}}'' has closing credits with an animated Deadpool fooling around, making jokes about the actors, and prancing about the screen on a unicorn.
** ''Film/{{Deadpool 2}}'' has a wall full of pictures and drawings, most of whom have been either made or vandalized by Deadpool.
* ''Film/TheDuff'': The outtakes are presented on various screens, and (most of) the cast and crew have their Website/{{Twitter}} handles accompanying their credits. The credits is also shown in the style of various social media websites and apps, including [[{{WebOriginal/Vine}} Vine]], Twitter, Website/{{YouTube}}, Website/{{Tumblr}}, Instagram and Snapchat.
* ''{{Film/Pixels}}'': The credits feature a summarized version of the entire movie played as an 8-bit style video game cutscene.
* ''Film/AlienAbduction2014'' presents the closing credits as a series of partially-redacted government documents, newspaper clippings, and photographs regarding the Brown Mountain Lights phenomenon, with key portions circled or left un-redacted.
* ''Literature/{{Filth}}'' features an animated short where Bruce is represented as a cartoon pig in a SugarBowl and his antics are represented as innocent cartoon shenanigans.
* The opening credits of ''Film/{{Watchmen}}'' consist of a series of beautiful shots in slow motion which won the [[http://ofta.cinemasight.com/Awards/Film/2009.html OFTA Film Award]] for Best Titles Sequence.
* The end credits of ''Film/{{Goosebumps}}'' feature a tribute to Tim Jacobus's cover artwork for the book series, with faithful recreations of several iconic spooks animated throughout.
* ''Film/{{Ghostbusters 2016}}'' The end credits highlight the various gadgets "Holtzmann" built for the team including the Inner workings of the proton pack, Ecto 1 and the ghost trap. They also feature several post credit scenes of the Ghostbusters fitting into their new firehouse and a deleted dance number where Rowan, possessing Chris Hemsworth's character, makes everyone move along with him.
* ''Film/BadMoms'' has out-of-character interview footage of the lead actresses and their mothers over the first part of the credits: First each actress talks about their mother and growing up, then each mother talks about their daughter, and finally the mothers and daughters are shown together.
* The Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse had a few.
** ''Film/{{Suicide Squad|2016}}'' uses the Enchantress's magical vortex, with items arranging themselves alongside/behind each credit to reflect that cast/crew member's role.
** ''Film/{{Wonder Woman|2017}}'' are set in a stylish montage of scenes from the film, accompanied by Wonder Woman's lasso, shield and logo.
** ''Film/{{Aquaman|2018}}'' are a montage of underwater representations the film's characters, locations and scenes.
** ''Film/{{Shazam|2019}}'' are a sequence of notebook drawings featuring the Shazam Family goofing off with other popular DC Comics heroes.
** ''Film/{{Birds of Prey|2020}}'' are set around a stylized version of the Booby Trap funhouse.
** ''Film/WonderWoman1984'' downplays it with RasterVision credits that look like something in an 1984 TV.
** ''Film/TheSuicideSquad'' is also a minor case, as it's only colorful instead of white on black, and features icons representing the characters.
* The start of the closing credits for ''Film/SonicTheHedgehog2020'' show a sprite-based animation of the events of the movie, complete with a ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog1'' sprite with custom animations.
* For ''Film/Paddington2'', Paddington's scrapbook is shown on the right as the credits roll on the left, revealing things such as scenes from [[spoiler:Aunt Lucy's party and that three inmates who escaped the prison with Paddington and later helped rescue him, Knuckles Phibs and Spoon, got pardoned, Knuckles opening a restaurant which was quickly a big hit.]] This ends with a scene of [[spoiler:Phoenix being sentenced and showing six months later that he's now made friends with the prison inmates like Paddington did has staged them in a musical show.]]
* ''Film/{{Scanners}}'' displays the ending credits as part of a computer program, with green text scrolling upwards. This was rather novel in 1981, and computer programs played a vital part into the film's psychic world domination conspiracy plot.
* ''Film/PokemonDetectivePikachu'' has a tribute to the Pokémon Adventures manga, featuring the main cast and all the Pokémon shown in the movie in the Sugimori-esque style that the manga uses, all over a rapidly-flipping background of manga pages.
* ''Film/JumanjiWelcomeToTheJungle'' shows the credits on a map of Jumanji, and ''Film/JumanjiTheNextLevel'' goes one step further by having objects positioned atop it.
* ''Film/{{Hercules 2014}}'' have animated scenes depicting how Hercules' group defeated the Nemean Lion, Lernaean Hydra, and Erymanthian Boar, fitting the film's theme of {{Demythification}}.
* Given ''Film/Godzilla2014'' introduced a secret government agency studying giant monsters, the opening credits are shown alongside text that ends up [[ClassifiedInformation redacted with black ink]] - i.e. "Reliability of these sightings is still questionable BASED ON THE CHARACTER witnesses. One must ask, is GODZILLA OWNED AND CREATED BY TOHO COMPANY, LTD." Sequel ''Film/GodzillaKingOfTheMonsters2019'' goes the same way ("Footage DIRECTED BY MICHAEL DOUGHERTY from U.S. Submarine Scorpion revealed"), as did ''Film/GodzillaVsKong'' ("The reality is stranger than anything in a SCREENPLAY BY a raving lunatic, and makes ERIC PEARSON AND MAX BORENSTEIN seem credible by comparison").
* ''Film/DaveMadeAMaze'': The credits are animated much like the intro to the film, with a [[spoiler:cartoon minotaur (having found its way to the real world) dancing alongside cartoon versions of the cast in a club.]]
* ''Film/TwentyTwoJumpStreet'' is a HereWeGoAgain with a bunch of fake sequels and creating a multi-million dollar media franchise.
* The credits of the ''Manga/{{Bakuman}}'' live-action movie are first presented as text in the panels of a new manga the characters are writing, and then on the spines of dozens of manga volumes on a long shelf, where the authors' names usually go. It can be seen [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pEIO3g5hOQ here]].
* ''Film/ScaryMovie2'': The first half of the credits highlight production photos of director Keenen Ivory Wayans and the crew and actors, showing that they all had a lot of fun making it.
* ''Film/KnivesOut'' shows old timey hand-drawn portraits of the characters over the strains of Music/TheRollingStones' [[Music/ExileOnMainSt "Sweet Virginia"]].

* The Music/GiorgioMoroder's ''E = MC'' incorporates the album credits for ''Film/ALittleBitZombie'' are played over a photo montage of Steve and Tina's wedding, showing them exchanging vows, partying in the reception (including a dance Tina was dead set on doing), and Tina dragging Steve into a closet to touch him up and hide his condition.
* ''Film/TheAdventuresOfRockyAndBullwinkle'' has closing credits that begin with Boris, Natasha and Fearless Leader chasing (and being foiled by) Rocky and Bullwinkle over, through and around
the music itself. On the final track, Giorgio reads the credits lettering. It can be seen [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3t97msMn0s here]].
* ''Film/AroundTheWorldInEightyDays1956'': One of
aloud (with his voice run through a vocorder) over the earliest of its kind, it was set up as a miniature sequence backing beat.
* Subverted with ''Music/NeverMindTheBollocksHeresTheSexPistols''. Unique to
that duplicated Fogg's adventure, using album is a speicific caricature to represent a cast/crew member (David Niven as a watch, Jules Verne as an angel with a novel, etc). It can be seen [[https://www.artofthetitle.com/title/around-the-world-in-eighty-days/ here]].
* ''Film/SecondhandLions'', in a [[BookEnds bookend]] style.
* ''Film/LastHoliday'' did the WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue.
* ''Film/HarryPotter'':
Not only are the actors' names showed along their character portraits, but the names of the principal
production staff are accompanied by something relevant to their role and the rolling credits are displayed above scenes that chronologically depict Bilbo's entire journey.
* ''Film/TheMummyTrilogy'':
* ''Film/SherlockHolmes2009'':
* Alongside the end credits for ''Honey'' we see the first major music video to be choreographed (in-universe) by the title character, Blaque's "I'm Good." It is also the first music video in history to give the choreographer on-screen
credit along with the singer lines of an EitherOrTitle: "Produced by Chris Thomas ''or'' Bill Price" (emphasis added). [[WordOfGod According to Price,]] he and song title.
* ''Film/Gremlins2TheNewBatch'' appears at first
Thomas agreed to have fairly standard closing credits, except that WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck periodically shows up out use this type of nowhere credit owing to make snarky comments at band manager Malcolm [=McLaren's=] screwy approach to producing the audience ("You're still hanging around? Don't you people have homes?") This is especially random since album vs. the movie itself singles. Essentially, Price was hired to produce the LP and Thomas the singles; Thomas had nothing to do with Daffy or already produced their smash hit 7" "Anarchy in the Looney Tunes. The credits themselves are followed by another CallBack UK", but was unavailable to produce the LP, leading [=McLaren=] to hire Price for the LP but to rehire Thomas to record single-ready renditions of certain songs from the album. Sometimes songs recorded for the singles were relegated to the beginning of album, and sometimes the film where Bugs album cuts were reworked as singles at [=McLaren's=] behest. So when it came time to sequence the album, they had multiple different tracklistings to choose from, and Daffy argue about who gets [=McLaren's=] tactics led the pair to ride out conclude he was trying to screw both of them over by crediting only one for working on the Creator/WarnerBros shield; this time Porky Pig is about to say "That's all, folks!" when Daffy pushes him out of shot and does it himself -- at which time the shield slams shut on (most of) him to reveal [[Creator/ChuckJones who wrote and directed the animated open and close]] ("...fade out!").
Van Sant also added a "flying through the clouds/POV of God" opening that Hitchcock wanted to do but
entire album so he didn't have to pay royalties to both. To get around that, the budget and/or technology or access to the Air Force like Leni Riefenstahl did.
* ''Film/StarTrek2009'', ''Film/StarTrekIntoDarkness'' and ''Film/StarTrekBeyond'' have their end credits zip by an array of planets, either shattered,
two mutually agreed on the verge of shattering, or primordial, as well as a few stars, to show off the main cast unusual credit, and crew names (the last one also had a [[Recap/StarTrekS2E2WhoMournsForAdonais a giant space hand]] mentioned in the movie as an MythologyGag). The earlier ''Franchise/StarTrek'' movies stuck with basic crawls on either plain black or starfield backgrounds, except for ''Film/StarTrekIVTheVoyageHome'', agreed that regardless of which ran the crawl over a mix of stills and clips (mostly clips) from the film.
* ''Film/XMenFilmSeries''
** ''Film/XMenFirstClass'', appropriate to its '60s setting, has Saul Bass and the Film/JamesBond-inspired geometric animations representing genetics concepts.
** ''Film/TheWolverine'' is a lesser
one -- it's set in Japan, and thus the credits have accompanying Japanese art and ideograms.
* The end credits of ''Film/{{Goosebumps}}'' feature a tribute to Tim Jacobus's cover artwork
got paid for the book series, with faithful recreations of several iconic spooks animated throughout.
* The Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse had a few.
** ''Film/{{Suicide Squad|2016}}'' uses the Enchantress's magical vortex, with items arranging
album, they would split it between themselves alongside/behind each credit to reflect that cast/crew member's role.
This was
rather novel in 1981, and computer programs played a vital part into the film's psychic world domination conspiracy plot.
Submarine Scorpion revealed"), as did ''Film/GodzillaVsKong'' ("The reality is stranger
than anything in a SCREENPLAY BY a raving lunatic, and makes ERIC PEARSON AND MAX BORENSTEIN seem credible by comparison").
* ''Film/DaveMadeAMaze'': The credits are animated much like the intro
try to the film, with a [[spoiler:cartoon minotaur (having found its way get [=McLaren=] to the real world) dancing alongside cartoon versions pay both of the cast in a club.]]

* For several years, the closing credits of the British SoapOpera ''Series/{{Crossroads}}'' reflected the title by alternating horizontal and vertical roller captions.
* ''Series/MyNameIsEarl'' had outtakes over the credits after the episode which frequently referenced ''Film/SmokeyAndTheBandit''.
* ''Series/{{Blackadder}}''
** ''Blackadder II'' ended each episode with Edmund walking away from the camera into a garden, while being followed by (and interacting with) the minstrel singing the closing theme (an episode-specific ExpositoryThemeSong).
** ''Blackadder the Third'' ended each episode which its final scene frozen and turned into a woodcut-style illustration, which would then scroll upward and reveal the credits as a theater program from a Regency-era play.
* ''Series/PoliceSquad'''s gag ending. The characters in the last scene all freeze in place as though the last frame of the scene has been frozen to allow the credits to roll over it (similar to how credits were handled in many live-action adventure series over the years). The credits do roll, but the film keeps rolling as well - it's the actors who aren't moving! This allows for all sorts of weirdness (see the show's article for more on this).
* Ernie Kovacs would frequently end his shows with creative end credits. For example, one program featured credits over vignettes where a Snidely Whiplash-style villain unsuccessfully threatens a damsel in distress.
* ''Series/TheMonkees'' ChristmasEpisode has the behind-the-scenes crew and office workers saying hello to the camera during the closing credits.
* Since series two ''Series/JamesMaysManLab'' has closed each episode with a unusual musical instrument, or group, playing the theme tune as the credits scroll over them.
* ''Series/TheFastShow'' would interrupt the end credits with random sketches that were even more brief than usual, often one-offs starring non-recurring characters.
On the left side, [[VideoCredits short clips]] of the program's various wild animals appear, with production credits ''for the animals'' (e.g. "Underwater Photography: Hippopotamus") as captions underneath.
* In 2015, Brazilian channel TV Globo decided to air a humongous special to celebrate their 50th anniversary entitled ''TV Globo 50 Anos.'' At the end, they decided to honor their past by running a credit crawl of their past and present employees...all of them. A total of 11,091 people! The closing credits even made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for "The Most Names Credited in a TV Show." You can watch the clip [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KmuKehOcuI here]], it's oddly mesmerizing.
* ''Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000'' occasionally continued aspects of the show into the credits. "''Film/DaddyO''" showed the credits constantly restarting when Frank accidentally let the button get clogged with strained carrots, "''Film/TeenageCrimeWave''" uses a similar gag only involving Frank getting maced, and "''Film/{{Tormented}}''" had a grenade go off, making the credits themselves briefly rattle around, to name a few.
* ''Series/WhoseLineIsItAnyway'' usually ended with Drew Carey having one of the cast members read the credits in an unusual way or while something unusual was happening. Such as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt2LENrfoN4 this one]] in with Wayne Brady reading the credits while Ryan Stiles and Jeff Davis held his arms and Colin Mochrie tickled his butt. The applause and laughter were so loud and continuous that it's hard to tell if he even got one name out.
* ''Series/TheMandalorian'' credits are played over beautiful concept art of scenes featured in the episode.
* ''Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse''
** ''Series/WandaVision'', in keeping with the "classic TV sitcom" motif, features a credits sequence of red, green, and blue subpixels (technically phosphor dots) arranging themselves to look like different locations in Westview or items like the original comic costumes of the Scarlet Witch and Vision.
** ''Series/TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier'':
*** In Marvel tradition. The credits scroll over walls or shutters covered in broken propaganda posters and graffiti with American iconography. The credits listing themselves first appear as classified documentation which is overwritten by the actual credits, similar to the opening credits for ''Film/Godzilla2014'').
** ''Series/{{Loki|2021}}'': The show's end credits show different things within the TVA, such as their propaganda, equipment and case files. When each text of credits appear, they are briefly shown out of order and sometimes have its letters flipped or enlarged, before reasserting itself back to normal. The TVA logo is also included alongside it, often as an outline. Certain changes can be seen in the end credits sequence between episodes; specifically, the productivity posters in a locker during the "Costume Design" credit, and the mugshots for the "Casting" credit.
*** The credits for Episode 3-5 doesn't have the distorted text effects; they fade in and out normally.
*** Like ''Series/WandaVision'' and ''Series/TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier'', the section showing the show's starring cast only shows the names of the actors whose characters appeared in that episode and like in the latter, the names only show in the respective sections (i.e. Creator/SophiaDiMartino's credit being shown in the section with the water cooler in from the second episode onwards).
** Downplayed with ''Series/WhatIf'', which simply shows concept art used for the preceding episode’s events.
** ''Series/Hawkeye'' has blocky, simply colored animations meant to evoke David Aja’s artwork.
** ''Series/MoonKnight2022'': The closing credits are a montage of people/locations/items from the show all covered in moonlight.

Unique to that album is a production credit along the lines of an EitherOrTitle: "Produced by Chris Thomas ''or'' Bill Price" (emphasis added). [[WordOfGod According to Price,]] he and Thomas agreed to use this type of credit owing to band manager Malcolm [=McLaren's=] screwy approach to producing the album vs. the singles. Essentially, Price was hired to produce the LP and Thomas the singles; Thomas had already produced their smash hit 7" "Anarchy in the UK", but was unavailable to produce the LP, leading [=McLaren=] to hire Price for the LP but to rehire Thomas to record single-ready renditions of certain songs from the album. Sometimes songs recorded for the singles were relegated to the album, and sometimes the album cuts were reworked as singles at [=McLaren's=] behest. So when it came time to sequence the album, they had multiple different tracklistings to choose from, and [=McLaren's=] tactics led the pair to conclude he was trying to screw both of them over by crediting only one for working on the entire album so he didn't have to pay royalties to both. To get around that, the two mutually agreed on the unusual credit, and agreed that regardless of which one got paid for the album, they would split it between themselves rather than try to get [=McLaren=] to pay both of them fairly.
