On the other, a high percentage of the nerves for sexual pleasure are in the foreskin. Removing it not only removes these nerves (which can't be replaced) but also dries out the glans, causing an extreme desensitization of the nerves that remain. As a result, chafing occurs during sex, chafing that would not have occurred if the man had never been circumcised, and to top it all off, the removal of the foreskin makes it much more difficult for a man to reach orgasm.

* On ''{{Futurama}}'', they did the FreudWasRight version: Bender's antenna has to be snipped so they can get satellite. The entire apartment complex can't get satellite. By the end of the episode, [[CircularPlot Bender's antenna was reattached, and they moved back in to good old Robot Arms]], with Fry still [[HaveAGayOldTime in the closet]].

Naturally, this is AlwaysMale, and is restricted to {{Eagleland}}. In Eagleland, characters who angst about this are typically (though not always) of backgrounds which are typically uncircumcised: American Indians, recent immigrants and political liberals, though sometimes, [[DidNotDoTheResearch Muslims]] are included.

* Averted on ''KyleXY''. Kyle is completely comfortable with his body, to the point that he sees no problem with [[{{Fanservice}} going naked]].

* On ''SouthPark'', Kyle angsts about Ike's upcoming circumcision, but learns that [[WellDuh Kyle himself is circumcised]]. By the end of the episode, all the boys want to be circumcised.

In the typical circumcision angst story, a character either sees his buddies in the locker room and wonders why he's different, or thinks difficulty in the bedroom is because of it. He may be circumcised by the end, resulting in a BrokenAesop.
