* ''Videogame/MegaManZero:'' In the fourth game, Dr. Weil merges with the core of his KillSat, Ragnarok, to become the FinalBoss. Then, when Zero defeats him, he comes back and proceeds to merge with ''the rest of the satellite'' as his OneWingedAngel.

* ''Videogame/DevilMayCry:''

** In the fourth game, at the middle point, Nero absorbed the demonic katana Yamato into his [[RedRightHand Devil Bringer arm]]; this unlocks his [[SuperMode Devil Trigger]] state.
** In the fifth game, when Dante tries to figure out what his sword Rebellion can do (when compared to Yamato's ability of "splitting oneself"), he proceeds to [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice stab himself with the sword's remains]]. He then merges with not just Rebellion, but also the Devil Sword Sparda (which belonged to his father) on his back. This gives him the [[SuperMode Sin Devil Trigger]] form, which, aside from being stronger than his regular Devil Trigger, also gives him the ability to summon an entirely new, stronger sword: the "Devil Sword Dante".

* In ''VideoGame/{{Final Fantasy XII}}'', the final battle against [[{{Designated Villain}} Vayne]] [[{{Big Bad}} Solidor]] is broken into three separate battles. In the last battle, he fuses with the rogue Occurian Venat (one of the gods) to form [[{{One Winged Angel}} The Undying]], which serves as the final boss. In this case, Vayne had kind of been Venat's weapon (against the other gods).

* For the first two seasons of ''Anime/SenkiZesshouSymphogear'', Hibiki's body is fused with fragments of a [[EmpathicWeapon Symphogear]]. Not only do the fragments retain their original function as a TransformationTrinket, the fusion has a number of beneficial side effects including a HealingFactor. However, Hibiki also lacks the SpontaneousWeaponCreation abilities that other Symphogear users possess, has a tendency to [[SuperpoweredEvilSide go berserk in battle]], and [[spoiler:overuse of her powers eventually [[TransformationHorror causes the fragments to grow and begin consuming her body]]]]. After studying Hibiki, [[spoiler:Finé is able to fuse herself with her Relic armor for greater power]] and in season 2 [[spoiler:Dr. Ver is able to infuse his arm with Relic material, granting him a literal RedRightHand with some of the Relic's abilities]].

* ''Disney/WreckItRalph'': Cy-Bugs become what they eat. And they can eat a lot of things. Ralph learns this the hard way when one of them eats his gun, then suddenly sprouts identical guns of its own and starts shooting at him.

* In ''VideoGame/KingdomHearts'', Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness, merges himself with a giant Heartless ship (Which appears to be the OneWingedAngel form of his GuardianEntity, who more or less is his weapon).

* ''QuestForCamelot'': Ruber uses a potion that causes this on his army. In the end, he fuses with Excalibur itself and [[AGodAmI goes completely off the rocker]].

* This is present in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword''; [[spoiler:Demise uses Ghirahim as his weapon in the final battle]].

* In ''VideoGame/ManaKhemiaAlchemistsOfAlRevis'', Vayne's LimitBreak turns himself into a {{BFS}} that flies straight up to impale a foe that was launched into the air.

Activating their Zanpakuto is called Resurrección, allowing for a near-complete restoration of their former Hollow selves.

However, you can't undergo a OneWingedAngel that completely [[CurbStompBattle annihilates]] your enemies - [[VictoryIsBoring that's too dull]]. Such an exaggeration of your {{Badass}}itude almost always [[VillainSue tarnishes your reputation]]. So, how can you fight your opponents adequately, enough that you're not as likely to lose, but enough that you're not going to win automatically? Find an EmpathicWeapon (or make one), and merge with it. You get a boost in power, likely enough to hold your own against your enemies, and your margin of error is about equal to that of the heroes' - it can go either way.

* The Unison Devices in the ''LyricalNanoha'' franchise are tiny sentient humanoids who exist specifically to physically merge with their masters and give them enormous power boosts. The only downside is that very few mages can handle Unison.

* In ''Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive'', the Sentinel Knight merges with the sword Exelsior, giving him a physical form once more; he's then able to go from humanoid to sword and back at will. After some adjustments by the team's TVGenius, he also merges with Mack the Red Ranger to give him his SuperMode.
