* In professional wrestling, bear hug either refers to a transitional hold use to control another wrestler's movement, or a squeeze meant to wear down another wrestler and possibly draw their submission(the latter is [[WrestlingPsychology a basic way]] of establishing someone as an "old school" power wrestler akin to Wrestling/BrunoSammartino or Wrestling/SuperStarBillyGraham). That said, there are some examples that fall in line with his trope as the page describes it, such as Wrestling/AndreTheGiant when he was happy.
