This state of dress (both pantless and shirtless) is most common with {{Civilized Animal}}s, FunnyAnimals, and Borderline PettingZooPeople, but there are fair amount pantless {{Nearly Normal Animal}}s and TalkingAnimals and quite a few shirtless male PettingZooPeople. However, pantless PettingZooPeople are rather uncommon, as are shirtless female PettingZooPeople, {{Nearly Normal Animal}}s and TalkingAnimals.

On the other hand, the very nature of visual media requires frequent and consistent depictions of a character, so whether or not the aminal is drawn "anatomically correct" can become an important decision for the artist: [[ExecutiveMeddling Executives]] and MoralGuardians may object to such anatomical features, but on the other, some artists prefer to [[ShownTheirWork show their work]], lest audience members notice that NonhumansLackAttributes.
