** I don't recall if a vehicle was ''borrowed'' per se, but that immediately made me think of the ending to ''What's Up, Doc?'', in which the follow-up to a long and hilarious chase scene is a court hearing in which various people enumerate their claims against the heroes and villains, which include everything they destroyed during the chase. The huge reward the heroes got for (I forget which of their actions)? Gone to pay for all of the destruction.
